This new halo waypoint is garbage. I used it daily and received no notice the update was coming. This site refresh is clunky, restricted, offensive to the eyes, and near useless with how little thought was put into it going live. Most of its functionality is non existent. You asked for no community feedback on how it might appeal to or affect the community, not even a “try a new experience” button, just shoved it down our throats. Staying logged in? Nope. I have to jump through hoops to get to my Halo 5 profile. When I finally find it, it is useless on desktop because it is only optimized for mobile no matter how much I zoom out. There is no way to view my Spartan company info which I also never received notice about being thrown out the door. The halo channel had content I paid for which was shut down for no reason. The support link on this website says the page doesn’t exist. Every search result I’ve ever saved on google for waypoint posts reroute to a page saying the pages don’t exist. This is the same Microsoft switch they always pull. You ruined Hotmail/Live so it takes a preprogrammed bot to go through all my emails with how horribly slow and difficult it is to navigate, the Xbox website is useless for finding anything, I have to search google for links on Xboxdotcom, the Windows and Microsoft websites I have given up on because navigating them went from finding an albino at the Apollo to locating the right needle in a pool of needles. I am horribly disappointed in how Apple-like Microsoft devisions are on how they approach their assets over the last few years.

There was a blog post on the website promoting the changes and when they would be implemented (the news item was ‘Waypoint vNext FAQ’ - you can probably still view it via the Internet Archive.
The ‘Thoughts on New Waypoint’ thread includes posts from Mods/Administrators advising that some data, such as Service Records, will be brought over to the new site in the future.
They’ve not implemented the Support section of the forums as they prefer people go to the Support website where they can read info on known issues and submit a ticket to the devs. The link to the Support site is at the top of the screen.
Your saved searches won’t work properly because the posts on the old forums haven’t been brought over yet. Even when they are brought over, the URLs are likely to be different from the old site.
It’s worth a read of the ‘Thoughts on New Waypoint’ thread to see the different perspectives of the various users, and the responses from Mods that are in there.
I like paragraphs.
There was ample notification about the upcoming website, and forum, overhaul which outlined and detailed a lot of the changes.
Your feedback is noted, however, please try to keep feedback relevant to Waypoint – we have nothing to do with Hotmail/Outlook.
And as mentioned above, I have posts elsewhere explaining that we’re expecting a forum post import at some point which should bring back most threads.
