So I really wanted that nightfall armor, you know? I went to the store bought the disc for it, watched it then I got back on halo and I didn’t get it. Devs please help

No I just put the disc into my xbox
You won’t be able to get the armour like that I’m afraid OP, the promotion for the armour runs exclusively through the Halo Channel. You need to get the digital version you can purchase via the Halo Channel app (not the Movies and TV app) and watch it through there. The DVD’s and Blu Rays have no way of interacting with your Xbox Live account.
Saying that, I can’t actually recall if this is the case or not, but the promotion through the Halo Channel might have ended now. The Nightfall armour is available in the General REQ pool now so you can get it via Gold packs.
Alternatively, most physical copies of Master Chief Collection (MCC) come with a free Nightfall code for you to redeem. From there, you can watch all of the episodes through the Halo Channel and get the Nightfall set like that.
