The other day a friend of mine gave me the Halo MCC Download Code for Xbox One. The game works fine and nightfall is downloaded, but whenever I go into Halo Channel it says that I have to buy Halo MCC to recieve the show. Does anybody know how to fix this or is anybody having the same problem?
I am having the same issue. Even though I own Halo MCC, it says I need to buy it to watch episodes.

I have the same freaking problem…Im really mad at this crap…they should test that everything is working properly before releasing a half done app or game… what a joke. And no official answer o solution so far.

One redeem code by game… if you entered it, but your friend redeemed it first, you’ll just download the halo channel…
you have to redeem the code on your Xbox or on live.xbox.com
Yo guys. I had the same thing. Fortunately the fix is really easy. All you have to do is turn off your xbox one, unplug its power and then turn it back on again. The issue is something where it doesn’t register that you entered the code. So just rebooting the xbox one fixes that. This worked for me i hope it works for you.
I have the actual disc and it won’t let me watch nightfall. Any ideas?

There is no code for the digital (download) version of the game
you should recieve the redeem code by email…
I purchased the download three days ago. No email with code yet. Hope it happens someday.

Asking the same question and 343 is not responding at all. Very poor customer service.
I bought the disc, installed the game and Nightfall. Watched Nightfall half way through before falling asleep, can no longer watch it. Tells me to buy MCC. I’m currently un installing the game and Halo Channel. Will update if that fixes the problem.

I just checked my Xbox One and Halo Nightfall started working. All I did was leave my Xbox One off for a while. I hope that they fixed the issue for everyone.
I’ve entered my code at it eventually starts to play… for about 3 seconds then it instantly switches to halo bulletin every time,I even tried pausing it and trying to let it buffer but it made no difference.
I thought it might be an Xbox related issue so I tried it on halo channel on my pc. I still have the same problem but only sometimes. I have very slow internet (200KB/s) so I doesn’t buffer instantly; this is a big problem as it cant seemed to paused or downloaed on either device.
If it can be downloaded could someone help me.
i got the digital game on release day and still have not been able to watch nightfall for the same mcc buy issue. i never received an email tried to uninstall and reinstall and even unplugged the Xbox for a bit and still no dice. i figured that 343 would have fixed the issue by now along with the issues with the game itself but they seem to be taking their time. it’s battlefield all over again.
