We’ve seen the new footage of Nightfall by now Looking pretty kick–Yoink- . Everyone of course is talking about this one quick clip Freaking looking shape shifting crap at 1:18 and we’re all wondering what it is. Many are believing that it’s some Flood form, Lekgolo, or some Forerunner creation. While those do seem like really cool theories, I do think this ‘shape shifter’ is somehow something different. In the CEA terminals, a mysterious ship crashed on Installation 04, which hasn’t been brought up since. I do believe that in Nightfall, that ship will come into play, with the new threat escaped, all of which comes from the Precursors. I think this would be really interesting to bring in material from a species far more advanced than the Forerunner, and far more frightening. Do you think this is linked to the Precursors?
I’ve got to say. Never heard this one before. In fact at this point, I think 343 kinda just put that aside, and pretended like they weren’t hinting at something. Basically saying, “We were hinting at something, but that project kinda fell through.”

Very strange indeed. I noticed in the first Nightfall trailer we saw they mentioned some strange “material, oozzee, rock”. This made me think back to Spartan Ops and in one of the eposide (2nd half of season 1) I was looking at strange rocks that had a shimmer to them that I’d never noticed before or since. They were quite large and really struck me at the time but nobody could explain these.
The other nght I watched Legends again (trying to tie up loose ends) and noticed at the very, very start of Legends before the film actually starts you get a few seconds where you see a mysterious green rock appear from a cavern (like we saw in the first Nightfall trailer).
Can’t wait for Nightfall and the Halo 2 CE terminals
