“*Game add-on requires Halo Infinite (available separately). Parent must have valid Microsoft Account and Xbox Live Gold on console (membership sold separately). www.halowaypoint.com. Code valid for a limited time.”
This is the description for Halo MA40 Nerf Gun. I have two questions if anyone knows. Do you need Xbox LIVE gold membership active to successfully redeem the code? I don’t know if I’m misunderstanding the XBL gold description part. Does anyone know approximately how long this “Limited Time” for code will last 1 week… 6 months or more or maybe no one knows so far?
I’m thinking about buying this MA40 Nerf Gun in late November but I don’t want to miss out on the “limited time” for the code if I must buy it now in October, any ideas you may have let me know, thanks!
Not a lot of information has been put out regarding any of these codes or what they entail. I think its stupid if they’re going to put time constraints on a code, shoot I remember buying a new copy of the limited edition for Halo Reach 2 years ago (for the extra’s plus I traded mine in back before backwards compatibility came into the picture) and once i popped those codes in they worked flawlessly.
That being said, now youre making me wonder if I shouldnt put the codes in from the nerf gun and mega consturx sword i got.

I don’t think there’s going to be a time restraint on those codes. I know it sounds like it but I’m pretty sure whoever wrote it did a bad job. On the off-chance that they are a limited time code, thats extremely anti-consumer.

A lot of codes do actually have expiration dates but it’s usually a long while til they no longer work. I’m talking years.
I believe the code from the Nerf Assault Rifle gives you a weapon coating similar to how that Nerf gun looks.
If you have codes just redeem them now, you’ll be able to redeem the item but just won’t be able to use the content until Infinite launches. By all means I’d say buy the Nerf gun now, no reason not to.
As for XBL Gold, I believe you’ll need Gold to access online features in Halo Infinite. How that affects code redemption I’m not too sure. Though you can get Gold through Game Pass Ultimate and your first month is £1 sooo not too pricey if you don’t have it already.

I actually got this Nerf gun and said code. IIRC I actually redeemed the code here on Waypoint

Yup it gives a Nerf Skin for in game, it’s the same for the Nerf Bulldog but the Mangler you get a weapon charm
