Halo needs extra ranks and division groups.

First off, this will be able to toggle on and off for those who don’t want people peeping at their profile.

By these extra ranks i mean like like the Borderlands 2 Badass Ranks and like in Halo Reach’s Arena. There should be several types of ranks each having its own unique role to explaining what kind fo player you are.

  1. The Normal Ranks

Normal Ranks will be made just like how they were in Halo 3. You win you ranked up and they are actual ranks such as, Major, General, Private, and Lance Corporal ect. Being your main and general rank to line you up with people of your skill in certain playlists.

Positive wins over your loses equals ranking up.

  1. Your Career

This is your ranking system for just playing Halo games. Your career will track the Halo Games that you have played in the past giving your special armor that that game had such, as Mark IV,V,V VI, ODST, and so on depending on that game, same going for elite armors. Having past Halo experience your career rank will already start pretty high depending on your rank in those past Halo games, but it won’t affect your Halo 5 gameplay much more than giving you purely cosmetic items.Career ranks are also INFINITE. The more you play Halo the more you rank up.
Play time and completing challenges equal ranking up.
3. Divisions.
This will uniquely be your personal rank. Your will be put into different divisions depending on your own personal skill. Instead of basing your skill off of wins and loses, which can be inaccurate if you have gotten o terrible team, divisions will measure your all round skill. Each Halo play style will have its own divisions. If you aren’t a very good gamer than you won’t be getting a division. I know what you are thinking, at first won’t nobody be in a division because of no one having no experience in the game.
Yes and no, players won’t be able to receive their divisional rank until their normal rank is at 30. At this point all of the skills you showed will be put on your record as what type of player you are. If you are like man don’t have an exact player style and just do anything well, you will get the Jack of All Trades, if you are a person who uses nothing but your sniper than you will get the Sniper rank or if you use nothing but plasma grenades you will get Plasma Grenadier.
After being set with your specific skill you will be put into a division. Ranking up in your division won’t be easy, you must excel at what rank you were’ given. On the plus side, you probably only got that rank after doing something alot so it shouldn’t be much of a grind to rank up.
Division Names are
Each division will have a certain amount of tiers that players will have to pass in order to rank up. Once you reach the number or required tiers you will receive that rank You only need to complete a tier once before moving on to the next, tiers don’t decided that you have moved on beyond your division rank until you are promoted in your division. Each Tier is one game that you have proved you are worth your title.
Tier 1- Those who have just joined and have yet to prove their are worth their title.
Easy-Those who just got their divisional rank.
50 Tiers
Normal-Those who have shown that they are worthy of their division name and they play just like their division style says they do.
200 Tiers
Heroic-Those who do what they are and take it to a level so high that its beyond what their former skill was in their category.
1,000 Tiers
Legendary-Those who are legendary are what the name entitles. You are a legend among your fellow Halo Players, the skill that you have mastered has been reinvented by your raw power. You are a wreaking ball in your division and Legendary shows that you are worth your armor’s weight in gold.
5,000 Tiers
Mythic-Those with the rank of Mythic are the apex predators of the Halo community. What their division is they are without a doubt the best of us all. Those with the rank of Mythic pull of the impossible within their division over and over again and are properly rewarded with the rank of Mythic.
10,000 Tiers
All Skulls-Those will All Skulls in their rank have moved on to an entry new level of their division by mastering not only the skill that they have started off in but another with near equal amount to their previous rank to the point where All Skulls will be put next to their rank. Players can keep the all skulls next to their name or leave it behind.
Your Record= ranking up.
So these are what I feel Halo ranks should turn into for Halo 5. if there are any issues that you see or you have your own option please comment.

I like the idea but the divisional rank might need to be adjusted I don’t see anyone getting a rank of 10,000 maybe I’m wrong but that seems high.

I really like the career stat tell me more say I played CEA, H3, H;ODST, H;Reach, and H4 but didn’t max rank on any of the games Colonel in reach 57 in H4 and a low rank in three as I didn’t have my xbox when H3 came out and played on my shared account with my brother.

IF you can find a better way to set up the divisions, i would gladly update the post. Each Division isn’t meant to be easy to obtain, and be a meaningful progression system. If you feel it should be lowered than there needs to be some sort of compensation.

I would rather have it so it that if you had all 4 of the items in your MP card completed you would be able to get all the rewards from Halo 3 and ODST. CEA and reach is where i get a bit stumped, but Halo 4 you could get your Specialization armors carried over.
