I respect people’s opinions if they didn’t like the game and all. But if halo stayed the same as halo 3 it would of gotten stale, fast. I loved halo 3 btw. Bungie were the ones that added sprint and what not but people seem to forget that and praise almighty bungie and it’s starting to p*ss me off! Some criticism of this game is harsh and childish half the time. Halo 5 gameplay is awesome and love how competitive it is! Yes halo is not what it once was because back then there weren’t many good FPS! Now there are a lot. Halo is on a revival stage due to halo 4 and MCC shocking launch and still buggy. Also the matches last night what a competition! EG winning it on game 7!!
Peace xx
Dude, when you are right, you’re right. Completely agree. It’s about evolving or perishing.
What evidence is there that Halo would’ve gotten stale if it didn’t change so drastically? All evidence supports otherwise, including Halo’s current lack of much popularity post change and the popularity of other games that don’t change drastically (CoD, anyone?). But really, what exactly supports this assumption you’re making?
People nowadays tend to like more fast paced games now. From what I’ve seen on other game forums anyway! Reason I don’t like cod anymore is because it’s the same every game. Plus too many immature people play it for my liking

People always liked fast paced games. The older Halos were more fast paced than the more recent games. People just often seem to make the mistake that just having more movement options makes a game faster paced, when that’s not the case.
Halo’s biggest problem at the minute is lack of content. How is that evolution?

I agree it could have added to more content, but it also exposes people to play different playlists. I have an idea, keep map rotation for ranked playlists, but for social playlists like big team battle, social slayer, snipers, action sack, infection, grifball, etc have a voting system and veto system like halo reach.
THIS. I personally love what 343i has done (for the most part) with Halo 5. They listened to the complaints of Halo 4 and did a complete 180. I love how they managed to maintain the classic halo balance in arena gameplay while adding just enough new abilities to keep it interesting. The struggle for power weapons and vehicles has made a return, but could still use a little work.
Despite how much I love the changes made to Halo I still play every shooter as if it’s Halo CE. I just slowly trudge along, never sprinting, always walking. Old habits die hard I guess.
halo moves faster.
Ironically its extra content doesnt…
Yes it should of had more content at launch but let’s face it, every game now lacks content at launch
I do like how 343i are doing monthly updates. Credit there!

Every game? Like what? CoD, Witcher 3, MGSV, Fallout 4 and Arkham Knight had no shortage of content in 2015. Another mistake people make is thinking Destinys problems represent every other game, when that’s not the case.

Well Fallout 4 felt pretty lacking in content by Bethesda standards imo. Beat the story in about 3 days and found out that was pretty much the entire game with maybe 2 dozen sidequests most of which I’d already finished along the way. Compare that to Skyrim which had WEEKS of content to go through and that’s if you played several hours every single day.
But yeah Destiny doesn’t represent every game. But it is beginning to represent the business model all AAA games are being forced into by greedy publishers. 343 is now guilty of largely the same thing as Destiny. Nonexistant release content, lackluster DLC additions (free or otherwise) and pathetic dev support for the game (playlists, gametypes, missing options for custom games, etc).
The only issue is that you have ZERO evidence to back up the claim that the classic formula would have gotten stale. The numbers support a completely different claim. H3 was the best selling and most popular game in the franchise. Sales and population have continuously gone down every time theyve tried to “evolve”, and its all culminated with Halo 5. Its changed so much that it feels like a completely different game, and its the lowest selling and populated game in the franchise thus far.

CoD to me didn’t have much. Well zombies sucked, awful campaign just like every single cod game. Witcher 3 by far the greatest game last year. Arkham knight done everything in that game but riddler trophies only took about 20 hours. Games lacking are destiny and battlefront. Games are going that road, I’ve just accepted it cause people still buy the games even when they cry about it

It would of because everything else but waypoint say now when they go back and play those games it’s just too slow. Good for that time not so much anymore. I’ve accepted it, some people on waypoint are just so salty and come on here to cry about it.
Btw I do love those games, just people need to move on. The only real thing that bugs me is people praise reach but that had the things people hate like sprint armour abilities etc. Baffles me.

Black Ops 3 had more content than any CoD and possibly any Halo (except maybe Reach). Maybe you weren’t interested in it all, but the amount of content it has is undeniable. I’m guessing you hardly even played it. And I’m not sure how two games over two years indicates to you that’s where games are going when 2015 alone had at least five examples of games with a ton of content that gave people a big bang for their buck.

The amount of content that a game has isnt a matter of opinion. Objectively, Black Ops 3 is packed with content. Two campaigns, zombies, a survival/sandbox mode INSIDE of the campaign, multiplayer, splitscreen, theater, emblem creator, etc.
Halo has objectively fallen off the charts as far as a noteworthy title. They’ve done little to push Halo forward as well as make it a more rounded experience. And before anyone mentions the championship series, competitive Halo is not new.
Fans have a right to be upset with their lack of content.
Evolved? Changed for worst.

It’s downright pathetic when a yearly title blows a 3 year dev cycle title out of the water in content. Well said.
