Look up Halo 5 soundtrack on youtube and check out some of the tracks. I think so far it seems like a big step up from the majority of Halo 4s stuff.
Listen to Never Forget (Midnight version), and To Galaxy (Extended Version) from the Halo 4 OST Volume 2. Those songs are amazing, and that version of Never Forget is the most Halo song of all time. I love all music except for one track, whose name eludes me at the moment.
EDIT: I like the Halo 5 music so far, will need to get my hands on the OST so I can get a good impression of the entire game’s music.
It has pieces from Halo CE, Halo 3, Halo Reach, Halo 4, and all new stuff as well (at least from what I’ve heard so far). It’s pretty fantastic.

this is basically the best halo song of all time IMO. and it is from halo 5. make sure you have headphones and an extra pair of pants for your ears.

Not sure that I’d equate anything in Halo 4 to Star Wars, musically speaking.
The H4 soundtrack was the product of two very different composers - Neil Davidge of Massive Attack, and Japanese video game composer Kazuma Jinnouchi. Most of the things that people liked from H4 were the cuts by Jinnouchi (although I think a lot of the Davidge is under-rated), and Jinnouchi is the man behind the score for Guardians. The score is already available on iTunes if you want to get some Halo love before the launch. I doubt any of us will be disappointed.

Just from RUL’s stream yesterday, the soundtrack is definitely amazing and uses a lot of stuff from the original games. I personally thought that Halo 4’s soundtrack was great too

If you revived this tommorow it would be exactly a year since the last post.
I think every Halo game soundtrack is great including 4 and 5, the issue is that everything is completely ew and different so it’s not that iconic as the classic ones, we need the original Halo theme back.
