Does reporting have any effect whatsoever? I had six games yesterday and in each game people just quit early or were inactive. And it was always at least two people, sometimes more. It ruins the entire game and it seems to be a deliberate strategy for whatever purpose.
Yesterday it was just Quick Play but it happens in Ranked Arena just as much and then you get ranked down because of it etc which is just infuriating. Apart from being matched with platinum players while I struggle around at a silver rank, being outnumbered makes it virtually impossible to win or improve.
Hard to say if it does or not. So many people quit out of games that you’ll nearly always find yourself in a game where someone is going to quit. You might as well just count on it.
Probably not since I doubt Xbox Live is going to look at someone’s game history considering they probably get hundreds or thousands of reports from a variety of games, but I think it does affect their gamer rep. They likely expect the game developers to deal with the quitting problem which Halo 5 does by giving people bans when they quit in social or if they’re the first to quit in a ranked game.
I probably have like 1500-2000 reports to people quitting, but since they made some update, the system is bad for reporting people. At least in Spanish, if you report someone for quitting earlier, then it oppens other window that doesnt make sence😕

Yeah, I am under the impression that it doesn’t do much good. And I also don’t know what the point is, to be honest. Especially in social arena.

I am pretty much but I shouldn’t have to. And for a player like me, it’s really a problem if I’m outnumbered. If you get 20-30 kills anyway, I’m sure you don’t care about that. But for me it’s pretty much winning or losing.

They’re not gonna ban you for sending a message unless it breaks the rules.

Yeah, there’s no point in that. I find it weird that you have to report them to begin with because the system should easily be able to register that someone drops out early all the time and then ban them in the process.

That is not entirely true. I once got banned because some people trolled me in a game and then apparently reported me after writing me messages. The point is, with all the reports they must be getting, I doubt they actually check whether there is any truth to the claims. My story happened on Reach though.

Your actual report may not lead to their ban but if they keep doing it and getting reported Microsoft will notice.
It’s rare but I have received a message from Xbox live saying action has been taken thanks to a report I made…either way I say keep reporting bad behavior and eventually they will get reprimanded.

Seems like there’s no other option then. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I’m not sure what you mean. I only answered this person once.

Halo system knows that, but not Xbox system, when u reported a user is in general not for a specified game
