This is a pretty major issue for us European players and it’s something that has affected mine and my friends enjoyment of the multiplayer for the years we’ve been playing.
I was hoping that dedicated servers would improve the situation, but it seems to have got worst. If you look at my game history tonight, you’ll notice a series of wins before 9pm. After 9pm UK time, it becomes unplayable. You can melee people in the back, not get a kill, you can unload a full clip into players, you can nade away all day long and nothing seems to register.
Now some people will say you just had a bad run, but the pattern repeats every single time we play.
Halo is a good multiplayer, it’s the one I enjoy the most, but if this series is ever going to be as big in Europe as Call of Duty (something I cannot stand to play) it needs to entice more European players, and it’s near impossible to do that unless regional gameplay is a priority. Me and my friends know the time is coming and we should give up and stop playing at around 9PM, but with work etc. it’s often the only time available to actually play.
I would like to hear some thoughts from 343 Industries on this and what, if anything, can be done to improve this situation.
