I got the original email congratulating me on being selected to play mp beta on Tuesday. It said I was selected for this weekend starting today. It also said I would receive more info on how to download. I have received nothing else from 343. I don’t want to miss out on time playing the beta. Anyone else have this?

This is not a MP Beta this is a Technical preview. There will be issues, you got invited not to play and have fun with friends you got invited to test this and give feedback, if you want a fun beta wait for the game to be closer to release and they actually start the beta.

I would gladly give them my feedback and opinions. Don’t care about the playing with friends right now. I understand that. Still doesn’t change I have not received anything else pertaining to this and it started today
Also, side note they did not lie in the email, they ran into an issue, 343 does not owe us any guarantees as again this is a TECHNICAL PREVIEW this is not a beta or an Alpha, there will be issues lots of them, so be ready to not being able to play, or being booted due to errors, it will happen so if you don’t like that then don’t play.

Yeah and we gotta remember how mcc launched so we kinda know 343 has alotta issues with online. It will come though no use in being toxic and acting like they owe you anything.

This there are a lot of people on here thinking this is a big Beta, it’s nowhere near a beta or even an Alpha, I see a lot of posts when this releases asking why they can’t do anything outside of what 343 wants us to do, this is not a sign in and play with your buddies and have fun, if they also think this will be like other halo betas there will be a lot of crying lol.

This whole thing from my view is about making sure you can even launch the game, the physics work as intended and the AI is good any other features will be nice to haves for it.
The flights arnt live, 343i is running into problems
Every time a Halo game tries an early view through some means of public early access, the first thing to die is the server. Have they tried figuring the exact number of people they would want to invite per period of time IN ADVANCE, limiting based on connection specs and other player concerns that can be detected via software, and then setting up the server to run for more people with worse ability than they setup for BEFORE so much as offering?

YES THEY DO.
- 343i has made several major issues in Halo gameplay that are abundantly clear as insults to the Halo fan community - They owed us early access to look for issues however they choose to word it; technical preview or whatever to make sure the game isn’t as much of a malfunction as H5G. They should have prepared for this as server meltdowns during early access are commonplace during this sort of thing; Halo 3 had one as a matter of fact.
- Thy said they were giving early access of ANY kind, offered it to specific people based on sign-up & random selection, and even gave dates on when it would be for, what features would be involved, etc. If my time passes and I didn’t get access or a “make-up period” to test and check for bugs, then 343i broke a promise to me as it states in my email that I was selected for THIS weekend (not a quote, just highlighting the point). If they say they are going to do something, and that thing involves an arrangement with fans/players, they need to do it as if anyone saying they’ll do anything in an arrangement with another. Period. If they can’t plan ahead, the least they can do is give back-up dates for fans who didn’t get their access so we can still do what we were promised.
- I distinctly remember 343i once making clear during the pandemic that Alpha/Beta testing were not likely for Halo Infinite, so no, I will not have to wait for it. It likely won’t come at all. THIS was the only hope we had as fans to directly communicate with 343i and say whether they did well or not, what to fix, and suggest for things moving forward. If it is missed by a technical bug that they “can’t” fix in time, all it does is add another excuse on why their games are coming out flawed; “We WOULD have been able to fix things, but alas, the internet screwed up, so unfortunately, it’s once again not our fault.” No. No more excuses. This is the third of 3 games by 343i and the only one that even resembles a true Halo game. No excuses on it getting screwed up. If this is the Halo experience for the next 10 years, you’d best be certain we enjoy it.
Are they going to:
- Ensure an Alpha/Beta testing system?
- Extend the “Technical Preview” and give make-up dates so everyone plays and provides feedback for the allotted time they were stated to have (3 full days or so)?
- Improve the servers rather than just fixing them? Because this happening before Halo Infinite even releases is a bad omen. A show of being unprepared by the team in charge of that.
- Be transparent with every step they make knowing that they are being looked at under an Electron Microscope after Halos 4 and 5?

I challenge a Halo team member to answer these in bullet format as I have in order. If the answers are not satisfactory from a gamer perspective, then I suggest they change theirs.
I GOT the 343i invite, and it gave me my dates. I just checked the “Known Issues” page and it said “access denied” only on a white screen. Going back it said the page was only for flight members. Excuse me???
