I have this great question for 10 years.
Will be a halo movie?
I don’t want to die before it is release. Im sure im not the only one frustrated by this question without a re al answer.
I have some bad news… In addition to that story, I also heard Hollywood wanted to drastically change MC’s character and give him a love interest and all that and Microsoft refused.

Well then props to Microsoft. They either do it properly or not at all.

Yep. If that really is what happened then Microsoft deserves credit for not just grabbing the cash and running with it…
That’s something I can’t say about 2016’s Microsoft.

Thank the forerunners.
In all honesty for some reason I don’t really want to see a halo movie come out in my opinion
I don’t know if I want Halo movie, Halo Forward unto Dawn and Nightfall weren’t so good.
Spielberg is doing something Halo (is it a movie? TV show? Heck if I know). Haven’t heard word on it for a while except for the fact that “it’s happening”

I wasn’t really into Nightfall (just not into those survival thriller/horror movies, regardless of franchise), but I liked Forward Unto Dawn well enough.
What if, as a possible alternative to a full movie, that 343i instead sponsors proficient YouTube creators (FreddieW/RocketJump, CorridorDigital, etc.) to create a number of smaller features, kinda like live action Halo:Legends.
They already did that with the pre-Halo 3 video and the ODST video they made for H3:ODST, and those were pretty sweet.

Been waiting on this for so long. But there hasn’t been any updates on this since the initial stuff that came out, unfortunately.

The halo movie was going to be AAA. Bigger budget and better actors and better director

The TV show is technically still in production…but I wouldn’t count on anything ever actually happening.
I would love a movie, the the movie needs to be top budget and the highest quality possible. As in no bad cgi bad acting bad script ect. This movie has to appeal to many that watches it. Needs to be obviously heavily lore friendly.

Halo 3 live action was done by Neil which later became district 9.
OP I have made countless threads on a Halo movie before and think that 343 needs to go with either FOR (novel) or Halo 2. I lean more to Halo 2. Halo 2 had an AMAZING story and fleshed out the covenant. Start the movie off with Cortana explaining what the Spartan II project was, who is attacking humanity, and how John blew up the first halo ring. Then boom right to the scene where Thel becomes Arbiter and handle it from there.
the reason why I do not think we have heard about the TV show is because I feel they will be bumping it up to a movie. So many video games are getting movies these up coming years (for god sake there is a COD movie…), Gears of War was just confirmed for a theatrical release, world of war craft grossed millions reguardless of story, and assassins creed looks promising. Microsoft is proabably studying how well these movies are doing, and if gears goes well I don’t see why halo wouldn’t be next!
TLDR GO SUPPORT THE VIDEO GAME MOVIES
VG movies are tricky to do though because you have to balance the existing lore (which, in the case of a number of these series, is quite extensive), while making it friendly to fresh patrons. I still find myself struggling to temper that balance myself, but others have had a lot more luck. One example would probably be Astrogenesis’ Halo 6 script, because he effectively presents a storyline that is easily accessible to those who just partake of the meta-material (i.e., the games), but also includes a number of other tidbits for the deep fans who appreciate more, yet does the latter without it completely stumping the first.
Additionally, I feel like one of the biggest challenges would be deciding whether you would stick with familiar plots (at the cost of making it predictable) or taking chances with new material (gambling against the fear that the fandom will condemn it as bs). Either way, it’s tricky business and you won’t be able to please everyone.

Yup
