Today, I was thinking of an amazing idea for the Halo Community.
Well, I guess you already know if you read the title.
It’s Halo Mobile.
Why not we all suggest this idea 343 Industries?
As we all know, many games like COD got famous again via mobile.
So why not add Halo in a mobile port?
I’m sorry if it’s too much to ask from 343 Industries but think again, Halo will be popular once again like in those good olé days or even more with just adding Halo to the mobile port.
It might have to be free but in-app purchases can be added!
So why not start making one?
I hope this idea get’s a lot of support so it can be reality.

Yeah I know. Still I don’t think it’ll happen any time soon, and honestly I’m not really sure how I’d feel about it if it does. In COD’s case I count 4 Activision’s in-house studios (Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer, Raven and Treyarch, each comparable in size with 343) either taking turns leading development or assisting each other for the major games, with the spin-offs sometimes done by external studios sometimes by those 4. 343 Industries (and Xbox Games Studios in general) just doesn’t run like that. And unlike COD Halo is a strictly shared-universe franchise, which largely prevents independent spin-offs being made (any new stuff will have to somehow tie-in with existing lore, meaniing more creative workload). It seems 343’s resources, Microsoft/Xbox’s organization structure and Halo’s own characteristics are all currently against your favor.
Personally I’m strongly against 343 diverging any attention to any side projects at the moment. I really think they need to be focused on Infinite first and sort out MCC second in the near future. After overcoming those major hurdles I hope they bring Halo Wars 2 to Steam then port Halo 5 to PC. And after that? Who knows what will happen? My mind is open for any long term possibilities, I’ll happily wait and see, just…not now.
Well, then I hope this project comes around soon.

Halo just doesn’t fit on mobile. Especially as a first person shooter with high sensitivity, sprint, clamber or reaches spartan abilities, it just wouldnt translate very easy to mobile as a fps

Exactly this, no way Xbox will be pushing a major mobile game when they are heavily investing into game streaming. Would be cool to see some sort of ‘Halo Mobile’ but it’s simply not going to happen unless Game Streaming fails.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t one of the higher ups in 343i said the only BR they were interested in is the Battle Rifle? While unfeasable, I would like to be able to play Halo 1 on my phone. I need to figure out how people are doing that.
I could get behind a Halo Waypoint mobile app. It’s been mentioned on the forums a couple times but I think a lot of the threads conclude with someone mentioning that it seems like 343i is pretty swamped with their current projects.

Waypoint it actually pretty well optimized for mobile. It can be hard to read long forum posts, but otherwise the content is pretty easy to access/view.

Hmm, what’d ya think of havin a Halo Moblie game?
I think some sort of arena only mode or maybe even mobile battle royale will work pretty well.
As in markets like Asia, PUBG mobile or COD mobile are making millions Also I think Infinite being free will still effect the game’s population and E-sports in those markets, if Microsoft does a teeny-tiny bit of marketing in India specifically the population will be much higher than any Halo game ever.

I actually deleted the bit I wrote about that because I didn’t want to come off too negative overall, but I think Spartan Strike and Spartan Assault were great for mobile. I think it would be awesome if they got tuned up for the latest OS’s. I still have each of them on my iPhone but they don’t play very well. There’s also a Halo indie game called Spartan Runner that’s on mobile (and Xbox). Not sure if it’s on both iPhone and Android, but I think it’s definitely worth a look if you want something new.
In terms of an all new mobile game, I think 343 should focus on the high profile games for PC and console.
