It is true I have no details, but that is for the people to write about, Also they’re former company Bungie made Destiny an MMORPG, I could imagine it working a bit like that.

Well it wasnt an mmorpg because the max players you can have is 12 and thats only in multiplayer and 3 in campaign and its not an RPG, and with halo I dont believe it would work due to many peoples conflicting ideas and there would not be a set story and if there would be people would attempt to alter and or ruin it
Absolutely not . Why does everyone want to milk this game for all it’s worth? Why don’t they fix mcc first?

Destiny is seriously halo 4 campaign 4player co op.
Halo MMORPG could defiantly work, you could have multiple factions and sub factions such as the UNSC(faction) then Spartans and ODSTs as sub factions. Then have the Covenant (faction) then have Sangheili and brutes being sub factions. As for classes thats not to hard,
Melee classes: For Brutes it would use a bruteshot and or Gravhammer.
As for UNSC, you could have and ODST or a Spartan CQB specialist, Shotgun, smg, ar.
Rouge/stealth classes: Sangheili Spec ops using plasma rifles, energy swords.
Brute Stalker using Maulers.
ODST using Silenced SMG, and Silenced pistol.
Ranged: ODST or Spartan Marksmen using DMR or BR.
Sangheili Ultra using carbine or needle rifle.
Brute Ultra using carbine or spiker.
They could do it to where you pick a class then your type of weapon defines your play style.
As for story and place/time. They could easily pick a time either before or after the events of the Halo games, that would give reason for UNSC to fight Sangheili and the Brutes ad blah blah blah.
Possible expansion names and ideas: The Silent Flood! Basiclly some group from what ever faction stumbles upon a forrunner research facility and accidentally let the flood out. You get a a distress call from the group and either you go there to save your friendlys or figure out what the enemy faction was doing there, while doing this a scouting party from your faction goes missing so they send you in thinking you will be able to fight your way through what ever is there, as you search around for the two groups you come across some item that belonged to one of the groups and while looking at the item you are attacked by the flood. then you fight the flood and call for evac, but by now the other factions are responding to the distress call and they get infected so now you have to fight the other faction/factions and the flood.
Out of Reach(if they did it before the events of the games): Basically it would be like the Invasion of Reach. (This being said I havent read the books about Reach)

I bet the best armor set in the game is basic MJOLNIR armor.
There was an MMO browser game at one point, BattlefieldHalo.com
Closer to a base building RTS before Halo Wars existed, and killed by a C&D order from Bungie before Halo 2 bit the dust.
