Well. I am officially done with these forums. Halo 4 was a completely solid title and all you people do nothing but complain about every little thing. OP Put up a post simply wanting to be productive and have a conversation about the potential news and you people essentially shot him down in every way. Halo 4 isn’t the problem people, you are. Go back to Reach and you’ll realize that this situation on the forums was IDENTICAL. Then go back to Halo 3. Then Halo 2. It’s an endless cycle and while there are still a select few people here who are constantly productive. They are always overshadowed by the complete hate. I’m not going to be bothered to ask you to leave anymore, I’m going to do that myself.

I 100% agree. People is giving pointless s*** about every nook and crany in Halo 4 (And the other titles) It is extremely annoying and I hate it a lot. After looking in these forums, I guess it’s time to say it out loud: Every complaint these guys make is every time I want to give them a middle finger.

That’s as good as them wanting to give you the middle finger every time you complain about them. Hypocritical post is hypocritical. They are allowed to voice complaints and it’s a perfectly valid and common thing to do on a game forum. Feedback on the game is actually much more useful than just talking about other random things because at least if the developer cares, then there is a chance that those complaints will result in the game becoming better by alerting the developer of those issues.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’d love a Halo MMO. Look at how interesting and large the Halo universe is, and 343 is constantly expanding it even further. I’d love a Halo MMO.

Anyways this is awesome news, I really hope they follow through with it. So many possibilities for an MMO in the Halo Universe.
It’s actually a smart move on Microsoft’s part to expand Halo into other genres of gaming. MMO’s are a great source of revenue if done correctly and the Halo IP has a broad reach in multi-media. To be honest Master Chief and the Spartan design is pretty much Microsoft’s Mario and I wouldn’t be surprised if the 720 gets a Skyrim version of Halo or even a mario kart featuring Chief in some cute squat Warthog launching golden Grunts at other players LOL.
As much as I hope Halo does branch out into other genres, I really hope it isn’t this. It’s not often that an MMO is actually that good, more often than not they’re just money grabs.

Most MMOs are not run by Microsoft studios though either. I hear your point, but Microsoft/Ensemble did Halo Wars well for a console, I think they can do it with the amount of money they have, along with the new consoles power.

I always felt Halo Wars was a bit lackluster. Not to mention, RTS is a much simpler genre to make an adequate game from.
If the execution and quality is there I’d play a Halo MMO alongside Halo 5 or in between etc.
Halo is so rich I enjoyed Halo Wars and ODST as well as the change up from 3 to Reach and again to 4. As long as they provide the investment of resources behind an MMO, tie in the content directly to other games/media and give it continued support or player generated content then I’m all in.
I would find it innovative to have your MMO/Halo 5 progression character one and the same. A persistent character across a persistent game world. If they could pull a Dust 514/Eve Online concept between the MMO and FPS then I’d be even more addicted to my favourite gaming franchise.
As for the comments about the forums/players “haters”, I’d recommend this thread as a positive aspect/thread to that.
Not to mention isn’t 343 making another game aside from the story of halo but still in the universe?
Agreed! most of the fans just dont accept new. I coem here to talk about soemthing new or halo 4 and every one sais it sucks!
So, would that “Titan” project for a sci-fi MMO, presumably once to be Halo, actually now be what Bungie is creating, ‘Destiny’? And, since some of Bungie’s ex-employees, such as Frank O’Connor, now at 343i, would have known about the project, and,coupled with teh -Yoink!-/343i add looking for an MMO dev, could it now be that Bungie and 343i are going head-to-head in the MMO sci-fi landscape?
This could work if it is a giant battlefield, although if they revived the battlefield franchise in the Halo universe it would be epic with large maps and a lot of carnage.
Character progression is a concern because if you have to start out throwing rocks I’m not going anywhere near it. But if you start out as infantry than progress to odst, spartan etc where a battle rifle has the same killing power than it could be cool. If they go the traditional route of having to level up, restricting content and have a very linear preogression path than its no different than anthing on the market already.
