582 people. View the results here: https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/5qo3qt/the_halo_megasurvey_results_are_in/
I don’t think I can say just yet how many people have taken the survey (I only count after the month is up) but I think overall it’s more than that!

I only asked the question like that because I’ve heard people those exact complaints before using those exact events as evidence. I put it in because I wanted to see if this viewpoint is shared.

> Good survey, I hope this gains traction. I just have question. On the first page a question asks when you started playing, is that based off your first game or around the time you started? I check Halo 4 since its in the ball park of when I started, but my first game was actually Halo Reach.

I thought of it when you ‘started’ - whether you take that as chronological date or start of invested time, it is up to you.
I’ve also posted to teambeyond and forgehub. Someone posted the survey to a german halo site, too.

> I’m not sure, after having taken the survey, if I think it was “objective” or if I think it had an implicit bias in favor Classic Halo, Bungie, black undersuits, and playable elites. The reason I say this is because most of the focus was on game features that changed with the developer and which are the traditional hot button issues of New Halo. There was some but not much concerning the real existential issues of this game like “how wide should the skill gap be” and “how high a barrier-to-entry is too high” and “what role should pro players have in the overall shaping of the game?” I think the whole issue of pro involvement made into one or two questions and yet there was a laundry list of questions trying to get at whether or not Classicl Halo aesthetics are superior or inferior to New Halo aesthetics. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t give a rat’s -Yoink- what the game looks like as long as it plays well. No, that’s a lie. I do care how it looks. But I care one question’s worth. I care about how it plays about 50 question’s worth. I guess it’s just a perspective thing.

I’ve heard this now a couple of times; if I run the survey again, I’ll make sure to include an ‘I don’t care’ option and ‘all of the above’ as well.
Again like I’ve said before, this is a response to specific criticisms levelled at 343. I’m seeing if it’s actually widespread or just a loud minority.
I don’t know how I’d put the options of ‘how high/wide the barrier of entry should be’ (1-6? ‘Not too much - very much’?) but I can think of a new question involving whether people think clamber is a good replacement for knowing the skilljump or not (again, because people have said that before)
Thanks to all who have responded so far!
