Halo MCC Won't install

I just bought Halo MCC disc from GameStop. It is a preowned disc, but it appears to be in perfect condition. There are no scratches or marks of any kind on the disc. I have tried every fix that I can find on any forum out there, but I can’t get it to install past 83%. I have gone offline, cleared the local saved games, restarted etc. My kids and I are Halo fans and I just want to make this work on my xbox one. I have taken the game back to Gamestop and they have told me the same thing that I have found on the forums. A new disc is on its way, but won’t be here for at least a week from another store. Is there anything that I haven’t done that any of you would suggest? Thanks!

I’ve been having this problem too. I got my mine on disc and it’s not damaged at all, but it won’t install. It will start to install a few MB or at most 1 GB then it’s will say instillation stopped and if I try to click continue installing it won’t install anything. The eventually it will say Instillation stopped. I don’t how old this post is, but did you happen to find a working fix?

Try this -

  1. Put the disc in.
  2. Pause or cancel its install.
  3. Go to the game store
  4. Find Halo MCC
  5. Pick the install option from there
  6. Your game will now install via network instead of the disc.

Let me know if this helps.

There isn’t an Install option in the store.

I watched the video and it makes sense, but mine stopped at 36% so the only option I have is “play” there isn’t an option (at least that I’m seeing right now, anyway.) to download the game, is this something like cancelling the download and then try to do it again but pause the download and try that?

EDIT I cancelled the download and I’m trying it again using this method from the video. I’ll let you know if this works for me.

Damn, I thought it would for sure. Do you have enough disc space? The game is almost 100GB in size (I think its 98GB).

This is really puzzling. Does it not install on either the internal OR the external drive? Does it stop at the exact same % level?

Can you set your console to Offline mode and try again?

I got it to work using the video that you referenced earlier in the thread. I’m not sure why it didn’t work the first time however. At any rate thank you for the help @FatherlyNick and everyone else who commented.

Mine hits about 36.63 each time I try and won’t pass it and says to try again later can anybody help

I just watched a vid so if anyone is still having this, I cancelled the install, went offline, took out the disk, restarted the xbox, put it back in, started installing, and went back online. It didn’t work right after turning the xbox back on but once I went back online it has been working so far.

I bought my copy last year and it’s been sitting on my shelf since, I’m having the same problem as MasterDovakiin9, I just really want to play H2A. I have tried over an over again, intially it had installed but it did not launch. When I checked the ready to install folder, MCC was sitting in that folder as well as in my Apps & Games Folder. So I uninstalled it and it’s never been able to surpass 1.83GB since. I have a 1 TB internal Harddrive with sufficient space on my Xbone to install.

You guys need to make sure you cancel the initial install and delete it from your hard drive before you try and install it via network. Go to manage game and uninstall mcc and THEN go to store and select install from there.

Negative. I’ve tried everything in this thread countless time with no joy. Has anybody at all had any success with this?

if you have an external hard drive, go to your “memory” and choose “internal.” mine was saying it needed 25g free when i had 800gb free to use. but apparently it wants it downloaded into the internal memory. once i made room it downloaded completely. hope it helps? literally did for me lol
