Halo MCC sound issues (solved)

Hi.

I made another thread in Halo Nightfall about this because this issue is also affecting Halo Nightfall before i wasn’t able to watch it because it says i need to buy the game even though i already have and even could watch it while i was still installing the game. It wasn’t watchable though because the music and soundtracks were like 60%+ while the everything else including the sound of speech were at like 1% or less.

I fully installed Halo MCC and started playing the Halo 2 Anniversary campaign hoping to hell the sound is fixed but no. It is not fixed. Some are talking louder than other even though they are right in front of eachother. Then their voices suddenly go down from 10% to 1% while the music stays the same at 60%+.

I went to reinstall the game but when i go to games and highlight the game it says it’s ready to install on the right side so i pressed it and it started a second installation. I still have the game fully installed in my console and it just started to install a 2nd one. What the heck. This has never happened before. I’m not even sure if i should remove the first Halo MCC now or after it’s done. I assume there were some files missing when i installed it yesterday which made these sound issues and for Halo Nightfall, well i hope there were some files missing and it can be fixed by reinstalling.

This is very odd. I have never had any problems installing games digitally on my 360 and One before.

Update: 1

I just went to “manage Halo MCC” and it shows me both the fully installed Halo MCC and the one I’m currently installing and the fully installed one is 57,9 Gb while the one that I’m installing is 59,1 Gb, meaning there are missing files (Thank god). I’m fine with missing files than anything else that i can’t fix. Whew So funny thing. Both combined makes it 117 Gb. Is 343 messing with me? Haha.

Gonna remove the fully installed Halo MCC who has missing files and hope the one I’m installing now will be 100% installed with no missing files.

These issues should be fixed within a week at most, most likely.

Thank you for your reply. Hopefully i can get all files installed today.

Update: 2

Finally finished installing the full game and this time got all the files but the issue stays the same. Their voices don’t even sync properly now. Ugh. Gonna have to go through the campaign without being able to barely hear anyone speak in the cutscenes… I hope this can be fixed soon if it’s not from my part.

Update: 3

I figured out how to fix it, kinda. The issue is from Halo MCC but not entirely. If you go to settings on your Xbox One and then Display & sound, change your HDMI audio from 7.1 uncompressed to stereo uncompressed. I don’t know if any other options works but stereo works for me. I hope it helped everyone else who got this issue.

Unfortunately that’s not a fix, that’s a workaround.

Agreed. And that is about all I can find that anyone has done so far.

Its january third and i was having this problem. Thank goodness i found your post, i changed my stereo settings like you suggested and now im fine, it just pisses me off because it was fine a week ago and then BOOM, it started yoinking up.!

It still won’t fix it with me and I’ve been constantly trying to fix it as of August 7th, 2015
