(yes I am aware this post already exists from this time last year but according to Halo Waypoint TOS, we shouldn’t revive topics that haven’t been discussed on more than 6 months so that is the reason this new topic exists)
So I am down to my last three achievements left in the game and one of these is the “Skunked” achievement (if you are not familiar with this achievement, the description says “win one matchmade game of invasion during the 1st phase” which honestly isn’t much to go by). I have tried time and time again and still haven’t got the achievement despite the announcer saying “SKUNKED!”.
At first I thought the achievement could be done by just defending the objectives so the other team never scores it and vice versa. That didn’t work as it always counted the game as a tie. I then attempted to win the game afterwards. either way of starting off defense or offense (I did it both ways), we defended the objective where the elites never even got to touch it, then immediately shut them out in offense by getting the core to the end and still nothing.
The most frustrating thing about this is everyone got the achievement except for me. We have tried literally hundreds of times and I am still not unlocking it.
Here is all the steps I took to see if maybe something was wrong with my game:
- I restarted my game several times
- logged out of halo waypoint, xbox, and steam, and logged right back in
- I have done a reddit post (which sadly got removed)
- TrueAchievements Post talking about this issue (no one has replied to that last time I checked)
- I have verified my game files several times
- uninstalled and reinstalled halo mcc on both pc and xbox one
- kept TrueAchievements, Halo MCC, Halo Waypoint, and Xbox app up on the achievements to see if it would pop (still hasn’t yet)
- I have messaged the official halo discord community support section dozens of times
- I even submitted a halo support ticket which 343 HAS YET to reply to
I just don’t know what else to do. Surely one of you guys out there knows how to fix this bloody achievement so I can get all 700. I would hate to be stuck at 699/700 all because this achievement will not unlock (also I really wanted to swear in this post but I refrained myself from doing so. I am just really frustrated).
