I play halo every week if not everyday for a couple of hours and do all the challenges each week. I am a little concerned that with season 8 being the last season for the MCC that I will still have hundreds of season points left over. My idea is after season 8 comes out put in an exchange for season points that allows us to turn in season points for 1 million XP per point. Yes you heard me 1 million XP per season point. Even if you have over 200 like I do thats is still only 200 million XP which is still no where near the 1.2BILLION XP you need to get max rank in Halo MCC. An idea that would reward the community for doing the challenges and still not change the game too much but make it worth our time. 343 Please get back to me on this one.

But I like your idea, I still have a lot to unlock but i will appreciate being able to get some Exp. Some levels are too “grindy”

I wouldn’t say they’re planned— more like put on hold indefinitely. IIRC, 343 said they’re going to announce their plans about future content sometime in 2022.
Personally, I want to unlock season points through achievements. Achievements currently serve no purpose aside from nameplates and lobby stuff, which nobody cares about. We should get 1 season point per every 2 achievements (or every 20 Gamerscore), maybe even more. You’d need about 600 season points to unlock every seasonal reward tier anyway, so this could be great for people to focus on once they’ve maxed out their weekly challenges.
I gotta say i do support this Exchange season points for XP idea, seems pretty solid once the Exchange/Season passes all have been grinded to a halt. However i will say tho, if it is to be a whopping whole 1 million XPs worth for points, then the price needs to reflect it.
I think for a more balanced system, XP vouchers can be bought for 5 Exchange points. Maximum value of 200k xp or something like that, and it should be limited to 3 vouchers a week at the very least. That’s my take on how it could be done but yeah! I am supporting this idea OP!

Well by the sounds of it for the time being, season 8 sounds to be the last ‘‘season’’ in the planned allignment of MCC content drops. Sounds like what was meant to be season 9 and 10, will instead be dropped on a ‘‘when it is ready’’ basis. Basically giving the MCC team a bit more breathing room now, as 2021 has been a new season literally every 2-3 months for them to develope.
To add as well, the MCC team is gonna help with Infinite and assist in making sure the release goes smooth and accordingly. At some point after, the MCC devs transition back to working on the collection, and will pick up on developing content and features. Obviously a skeleton crew will maintain the system, while the squad is off assisting the colleagues.

I am a firm believer that all seasonal items, including ranked ones should be made available through the exchange in season 8 in anticipation of the arrival of Halo: Infinite. I love ranked, I’m a 22 in H3 TS, but I believe that it is due time to make all items available to a majority of players. I feel as though enough time has passed to justify exclusivity, we can’t start getting picky and gatekeeping content, it would be selfish to do so. so on behalf of collectors everywhere I want to voice my support of the idea of bringing these items to the exchange. reaching rank 25 in squad battle I believe is not a reasonable goal for a majority of people and I think the developers realized that as in subsequent seasons it was changed from reach X rank to win X number of games.
the exchange was made on the belief of keeping players from feeling as though they are missing out afterall.
I believe everyone should voice what they believe in and here I am voicing my opinion. thank you fro reading and thank you for your time.

KenniTDG, I do not believe that 1 million XP per season point is too much when you consider that you need 664 Million XP to reach the top tier and another 400+ million to max out the top tier. We just got word today 10/4/21 that the first person ever has reached that tier. I currently have 217 season points and have unlocked all rewards from all seasons and from the exchange and if season 8 is to have 100 tiers, I will only get have 117points left which would equate to 117 million XP. I am currently a blue shield with swords which is tier 4 and I only have 112 million XP. So in short I think 200K XP would be a rip off or some kind of XP voucher that you can only turn in 3 times a week. Once Infinite comes out I will not play MCC for a long long time.
