Halo MCC running poorly on PC

I recently downloaded the MCC through GamePass. I was beyond ecstatic to replay my favorites only to find that the game is unplayable. Seriously. I can’t take a single step anywhere without the game freezing up on me. My specs on my PC should all be fine. The processor is only 3 years old and the RAM and GPU were both upgraded within the last year. Anyone know why this is happening?

What are your specs specifically?

Could be a bunch of things, but there’s not a lot we can suggest without seeing specs.

you could have brand new low tier hardware, what exactly is your specs?

what game? update your drivers, try lowering your resolution and graphic settings, cap your frame rate low if 60 doesnt work, then use an external fps limiter and go lower if you are eager to play.

i wonder, you might be running integrated graphics somehow, go to the video settings and change the gpu to the 5700xt
if you cant do it ingame it may have to change somewhere in your deskstop settings, if its not that then i have no idea, it shouldnt be running that badly.

I’ll have to look into that when I can later. Honestly forgot that can happen. It’s been a long while since I’ve had a game do that. Thank you!

Sadly that did not fix the issue. I made sure the game was being run through the GPU and the issue is still happening. I’ve lowered all settings to their lowest possible and it’s not even a little bit better. I would normally say it’s hardware related but every other game I have runs just fine. Sea of Thieves, Destiny 2, Final Fantasy XIV, Overwatch, etc. so I know my hardware should be more than capable of handling this.

Solution found. Razer Cortex was causing the issue.

thats wild, some sort of software issue, could be a windows update issue or something. i got a radeon vii which is similar to your gpu and i get over 200 fps in all the games in mcc.
