Okay, is waiting multiple days for a support ticket common? How long do I have to wait for my ticket to be answered other than, “we will provide an update shortly”? I digress, however, from the actual subject by saying that. I will not be passive in resolving this issue and ask the gracious Halo community for their assistance.
I run an eGPU set up, and the following only happens when it is plugged in and displaying to an external monitor instead of the laptops built-in screen. I launch the game on Steam, wait through the studio credits, only for the game to crash with the error:
LowLevelFatalError
[File:Unkown]
[Line:200] Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost.
(Error: 0x887A0006- ‘HUNG’)
This almost always occurs, and I have found no consistent workaround. If anyone else has an eGPU setup (or even an AMD graphics card. It could be an AMD specific issue too) then please respond if you have a similar issue or have found a workaround/solution.
