Halo MCC 'Multiplayer is not allowed...'

Tried everything, about to give up, any ideas ? it gets given to me after i press find a game, whole Error

‘Multiplayer is not allowed The multiplayer feature is blocked due to your xbox live settings. please make sure you have the correct xbox live account and your family settings are turned off’

I’ve encountered the same message when I am playing with another local party member. I suspect that it is a UI bug because matchmaking starts after I press A and try again.

for some reason this happened to me, I just changed all my system settings to ‘allow’ and it was smooth (I blocked things like explicit content and marketing etc. Because I would rather not have marketing deals all over the place and ‘explicit content’ well… On the xbox, really? Anyway try going into settings, might have parental controls on if you set your 360 up with them.

I’ve had the this game from day one of it coming out, so far I’ve managed to play 3 or 4 games since launch, I get the same thing multiplayer not allowed then when I finally get past that it says finding players then players found then restarting search over an over. when is the multiplayer going to be fixed or is there something I’m not doing

edit in fact I’ve had 3 games spent 21 mins in online games that’s all I’ve managed to get in 7 month

…hmmmm…

welllllll anyway make sure you are not logged into another account on your xbox. I have had problems if both me and my wife are logged in at the same time with the xbox in general, not just MCC but it applies there too.

This happens to me all the time. Ive changed every setting I can find trying to make it work. And repeatedly pressing A does no good. The only thing that works is holding the power button on the Xbox One for 10 seconds so it can reboot. Its a pain but always seems to work. I wonder if its an Xbox issue not a 343 problem.

After all this time this is still happening to me. , when are these clowns going to fix this. All this money i spend and i cant play a singal game.
