I just got done playing a game of Ninja Assasins in Halo 4 in MCC’s action sack playlist. I noticed something almost immediately at the start of the game that didn’t make sense. I have the documentation for this in my recent captures but can’t share screenshots or videos here…
Halo 4 scores one kill as 10 points for the team, and ninja assassins is played to 450, so 45 kills. 20 seconds into the game, my team (BLUE) went up 10-0. Seconds later, the score jumped to 40-10 in favor of red team. Then, instantaneously, red team’s score jumped from 40 to 70. I noticed right away and brought up the full scoreboard to check it out…red team only had 3 kills, but had 70 points. Red got two seemingly legitimate kills that brought them up to 90, then I was assassinated while looking at the score and their score jumped from 90 to 120.
This happened several times throughout the game and red’s final score of 450 was only made up of 35 kills. I believe that one player’s kills were being counted double or triple the appropriate point value of 10. I think I’ve identified that player and have reported him on Xbox Live, but I wanted to make sure 343 is aware of the possibility of pretty blatant score manipulation…in a casual game of Action Sack of all things. Come on!!
