343 explains that it needs to resolve the Matchmaking issues with a content update, which is currently going through testing and certification. A client-side update that focuses on Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s Matchmaking performance, Matchmaking bugs, and a variety of title-specific issues is targeted for Wednesday November 19, 343 Industries executive producer Dan Ayoub said on the game’s website.
Ayoub said that while its data shows that the patches 343 released in the last last 24 hours have increased server connectivity by 20 percent, the developer is well aware that performance is not where it needs to be. He explained that resolving the Matchmaking issues also required client-side fixes via a content update, which has already been completed and is currently going through testing and certification.
“We know the current Matchmaking experience is frustrating, and we continue to have various teams working 24/7 to isolate and resolve the issues to provide the best experience as soon as possible,” Ayoub said. “We are going to continue to optimize the matchmaking experience after next week’s content update, and make further adjustments as needed. We thank you for your continued patience.”

I knew this would get fixed soon! It’s just people who are impatient that escalate the issue. Yes, everyone knows you would want a product that works out of the box, but it’s not always that way, and while that’s true, that doesn’t mean it’s not fixable.

To be honest I’m extremely surprised at how many people just come to these forums and hope someone has posted just what this guy did. I am like you and already know this information. But it will definitely be a new read to some people
You do all realize that, while there might be a patch coming, there’s no guarantee that it will fix anything right?
It could be weeks or months yet before we are able to play the game as it was intended. Calling people impatient because they want something they paid real money for to actually work is extremely immature and just goes to show how many people have only really taken up gaming in the last 5 or 6 years. Before that time, games used to work on release, and when they didn’t, the developers were given hell because of it.
Nowadays these younger gamers, who have never known a time before every game was released broken, actually defend this practice of releasing unfinished games that require constant patching to even get to a usable state. Some even go so far as to try and convince us that the developers are actually doing us a favor by fixing their broken products by saying stuff like “You should be grateful that they’re even working on fixing it at all.”
All I can say about that is that Darwin would be proud.
I have been gaming since 1995 the new generation just loves broken games for some reason :s?

Thank you.
You nailed it.
This is one of the worst launches too.
BF4’s campaign worked at the very least.
AC: Unity has major issues but those were much easier to miss.
COD:AW worked with lag that was also easy to overlook while developing.
Halo:MCC on the other hand:
Spelling mistakes, Campaign and Matchmaking unplayable for a large majority of people…
Forge and stats broken for some,
Reloading occasionally does not work.
Completely unacceptable.
1nd? are you kidding me?! sloppy copy and pasting, I would hope.
Removal of the features such as Armor unlocking and mixing/matching in H3 MM.
I really hope this game is fixed soon,
343 is really losing my faith though.
Very little has been addressed/acknowledged other than Matchmaking.
I am also skeptical of that 20% improvement statistic they are throwing around.

I am starting to lose faith in multiplayer FPS on these “Next Gen” consoles. So far, none has really been able to deliver a great experience and, to be honest, they have all had fairly significant issues at launch. So far, the best online multiplayer FPS on the Xbox One would probably be Titanfall, but the player population on it is extremely small compared to BF4 or CoD though.
Maybe we’ll get lucky and we’ll end up with Loadout one day. That game is all kinds of awesome.
