halo mcc just loads halo reach windows store page

cant play halo reach. all mcc does is load up the halo reach store page, where it simultaneously tells me halo reach is already installed while asking me to resume installation, with no options to launch halo reach. I cant find the files for halo reach anywhere on my pc even though I have installed it multiple times and deleted and reinstalled the mcc multiple times.

EDIT 1: I am trying to play on a pc running windows 10, through game pass.

EDIT 2: I sent a support ticket over 8 HOURS AGO and still have gotten no response.

EDIT 3: uninstalling and then reinstalling and launching through the game pass app instead of the windows store has resolved this issue.

FINAL EDIT: Support finally replied to me 16 hours later just to tell me they were unable to fix the issue after I fixed it myself.

thanks for the timely response, support team. /s

Have the same issue. To get around this, go into your Start Menu, look for Halo under “H,” and launch it directly from there. There’s actually two launchers- The Anti-Cheat Disabled version is for modding. You don’t actually have to launch it through the app or store like you do with Steam.

Good luck!

the start menu is the only way ive been attempting to launch it. needles to say it still doent work. im going to try uninstalling and then downloading through the game pass app instead of the windows store and see if that clears up the issue.

Uninstalling and downloading allowed me to get into the game again, but after I closed the problem came back. I don’t understand how Microsoft -Yoinked!- up a game they made, on a store they own, in a OS they developed.

currently re installing through the game pass app instead of the windows store. will update if this fixes the issue. its absurd both that this and the support ticket I sent in over 8 hours ago haven’t gotten a response from support yet.
