Halo MCC has taken too long to start

This error message keeps coming up and its frustrating because it keeps freezing my console. Does anyone know why?

I’m getting the same thing, ever since the patch/matchmaking update. I even tried reinstalling the game and it still doesn’t work. What’s going on?

After a more detailed search it seems to be an xbox problem, not halo mcc (pre- or post- patch). Preforming a ‘hard reset’ (hold the power button for 10 seconds) will clear the cache and the game should start fine next time you turn on the xbox.

Thanks but it seems that just letting the xbox “cool down” for about half an hour works as well
