Halo MCC : Halo 2 Campaign halo PC UE4 fatal error

Hello,

I have a big problem with the Halo MCC : Halo 2 Campaign. I cannot launch the halo 2 Campaign. When I start the Halo 2 campaign, the game crashes and send the message “UE4 fatal error…”. However, the multiplayer works fine.

I have tried so many things to solve the problem (update NVIDIA drivers, Windows updates, Reinstalled Halo MCC,…) but it still does not work.

I know I am not the only one who has this problem. If someone has already had this kind of problem, tell me what I should do.

Hopefully, Thanks!

I also have this problem since H2A released, and 343 support left me on read and closed the ticket after a month.

Even if you uninstall the game, it is very possible that it will still leave traces on your computer, you can try this:

Go to. C:\Users\YOUR USER\AppData\Local\Packages | Or Win+R %localappdata% and search for Packages

Now delete: “Microsoft.MCCHalo2…”

Same issue, fatal error d3d device lost on an RTX 3090. Meanwhile I can play Cyberpunk 2077 for 8 hours straight with no issues at 100% load but Halo MCC cries at 50% load. Honestly 343 fix your garbage game

As I read, you have only updated your graphics card, a while ago the same thing happened to me and I solved it with “DDU” (Display Driver Uninstaller) I recommend that you try to completely uninstall the drivers with this application and download the drivers directly from the official Nvidia website, not with Geforce Experience

If you have never used “DDU” you have to:
1.- Download DDU from GURU3D - Extract it and place the .exe on the desktop
2.- Start the PC in Safe Mode (Settings -> Update & Security -> Recovery -> Advanced Startup)
3.- Your PC will restart and a blue screen will appear.
4.- Select: Troubleshoot -> Advanced options -> Startup Settings -> Restart. Then, press 4 or F4 on your keyboard to start in Safe Mode
5.- Open DDU and select on the right side Nvidia Card and Clean and Restart (Recommended)

Also try disabling your iGPU from BIOS (If your CPU has IGPU)

I recommend that after this, you customize the Nvidia Control Panel, here I leave you a GIF with all my options to achieve a good optimization without losing quality (It is in Spanish but you can imagine what each thing is or do you use the translator )
