With the Halo Master Chief Collection continue getting more seasons and updates, would you say the game is getting better and better especially when it comes to the gameplay experience?

Most certainly without a doubt.
I really look at MCC as a love letter to the legacy of Halo.
Considering how the game launched back in the day and it was just a mess. 343i could have easily done a few patches and just moved on.
Instead they took the punches and carried on improving the game and making it the best it can possibly be. I really appreciate that they put their hearts into this game.
I never played much of this game after launch, I just didn’t feel compelled to. BUT the continual updates to content, bug fixes and optimisation for new hardware has kept me coming back season after season.
While it is getting better in terms of content the game still has major issues plaguing it that is keeping players away.
Not really, since they’re just adding skins instead of trying to improve the game experience. Ranks not being used to balance teams, can’t quit a 3v4 game without eating a penalty, broken spawns, broken hitreg/servers, no AFK detection, reporting cheaters takes longer than making a new account, no one reads the “report player tickets”, no in-game way to report griefers/cheaters, no veto to skip bad maps, playlists filled with bad maps, etc.
At this point I’m convinced they just want us to move to Infinite.
While not flawless, it’s in a very good state and is the best way to experience the legacy Halo titles. Can’t wait for Season 7 to come out and bring CE closer to the Xbox original, graphics-wise. I’d imagine we’ll get at least two or three more seasons before support for MCC starts winding down.

There is a possibility that the Halo Master Chief Collection will get more seasons and updates especially after 343 Industries release all of the seasons coming out this year. I did mention this on Halo Waypoint. The Halo Master Chief Collection getting a Season 11 and a Season 12 is a possibility especially if the game continue getting a lot of positive reactions from Halo fans.
-Halo CE aiming is still broken.
-Halo 2 tick rate/ aiming is still broken.
-Halo 2 hit registration ( including melee) is still broken.
This game has been out for over 6 years and just now getting the only meaningful update of a custom game browser. Every other update is either worthless cosmetics or patches which this game should have been launched with. Imagine if how the state of mcc is now was the starting point on launch six years ago. It’s amazing Halo is still in the hands of this company.

I think MCC was at its best a few years ago. There were some good changes such as the addition of halo reach and the halo 3 shot registration update. But for the most part the experience is a little worse. Game crashes, frame rate drops and cheaters flying around the map. I don’t see any of the skins or armors because I have to turn skins off for my game to function better. I see less customization in players spartans than before, most people just look default to me. Also anyone not playing on a good PC with a controller is just at a disadvantage. Their game just runs smoother. Playing against KB+M players added some quirky and weird stuff that you wouldn’t normally see. Such as players shooting you with their back or side facing you because the in game model can’t keep up with how fast they turn. Vehicles function a bit different too, with wraiths spinning instantly on a dime and a banshee that goes faster in a straight line compared to a controller banshee for whatever reason.
It’s not too bad though, I still continue to play and enjoy it.
Ok they have improved on the social side of things and population. They needa improve ranked. Y’all know how good ranked was in the good old days?? Nun like today. The rotations are absolute nonesense. While I’m at it… wish they’d add Hardcore H4. Use either the old MLG settings or since they’re some desperate people jus use ALG LOL.
Okay, here is how I see it happened in the next Halo Master Chief Collection updates. We will most likely see 343 Industries continue fixed some of the problems in the Halo Master Chief Collection especially when it comes to gameplay experience. We will also see 343 Industries continue listening to the feedback from Halo fans including communicating with them. At the same time, the game will continue getting more seasons and updates. That’s where the Halo Master Chief Collection will get better and better.
To be honest the MCC is still as crappy as its always been in my experience with consistent crashes and bugs ranging from frustrating to game-breaking. I’ve just recently started playing again having not been able to play for months because it just wouldn’t let me into a game, or it would give me an error message for no reason, or I’d get hit with some infinite load (and yes, my NAT’s open, reinstalled the game, recovered profile etc etc etc). Within my very first games back a few days ago my game crashed mid-match and I got banned from matchmaking. Right now I’m trying to grind out challenges to save up some crates for next season and I can’t because, once again, my challenges are bugged out and I can’t progress them. Everyone I know has had similar issues and one of the predominant issues I consistently have to deal with is not being allowed to party up with my friends. We’ll all be able to search for a game individually no problem, party up and boom, error message. Or infinite load. Or it decides that one of us doesn’t have the content installed when we do.
So yeah. Content wise I love what the MCC has done and is doing but in terms of the overall quality it can -Yoink!- -Yoink-, it’s a -Yoinking!- miserable experience.
It’s still very, very rough but it’s much better than it used to be.
There’s some aspects of MCC that are frankly unacceptable, but I can still get my Halo fix I guess.
In my opinion, it has improved significantly and keeps on getting better with more ways to customize Spartans and elites and more features!
