Halo MCC connection issues now worse? (UK player)

So I haven’t really had much time to sink into MCC as of yet, and following the launch issues I temporarily gave up on playing it even sparsely since the constant issues made whatever games I did get into, an irritating mess.

However, now I’m getting into games (Big Team Battle and Halo 2 Anniversary playlists primarily), and experiencing a constant sort of horrible lag where, for example, a single jump will loop multiple times when I execute the action - trying to shoot other players isn’t even worth talking about.

My NAT is open, and speed-wise my connection should be more than adequate; I’ve never experienced such consistent connection issues with any other Halo title, and I played a huge amount of Halo’s 2-4. I’d love to hear from other UK based players to see how their experiences compare. Previous posts on the Halo sub-reddit led me to believe MCC was currently “enjoyable” online.

Anyway, is there an ETA on MCC becoming “playable”? The game’s net code itself must be in a seriously woeful state since lots of issues still haven’t been corrected (seriously, why does quitting take like 30 seconds to occur for example?).

On the off-chance that someone involved in networking from 343 reads this post - take a look at the data from my past say, 5 games online. Each time the connection was frankly awful, and I quit each time because it was genuinely unplayable.

Im from Spain. Today is unplayable, lag fest everygame… And 3 times frozen in title screen… Im getting really tired…

Aaaaand the latest update did nothing to address the lag and overarching connection issues (hit detection etc).

Looks like I’m boycotting MCC for another month! Seriously floored by how long it’s taking to resolve these issues, and overall the lack of transparency regarding when the game will be at a standard EVERYONE can consider playable - lots of “general improvements” listed in each of their weekly updates that I read as “stared blankly at broken code.”

Thanks 343, I could’ve at least spent my money on a Wii U and enjoyed some games that work instead of my Halo-box, which doesn’t even play Halo.
