So i had just finished beating Halo CE: Two Betrayals when my Xbox froze up (after unlocking the achievement, during loading of Keyes).
As per usual, i proceeded to unplug the power from my console and plug it back in. I started the Xbox, and upon starting mcc i got the long-awaited update, so I clicked install. My internet cut out some time during Keyes after the update had installed, not really sure when as it didn’t matter since i was playing single-player. Turns out it does.
My game menus stopped working even after force closing the game and hard rebooting the Xbox, so I decided to just uninstall and reinstall the game. My internet was still out.
Upon reintalling, i loaded up Keyes and started over. I beat the mission, followed by beating The Maw about an hour and a half later (doing my usual Legendary runthrough of Halo i always do when a new one or remake comes out). Just at the time i beat the mission, my Xbox decided to notify me that there was an update available for mcc. I really hoped that it hadn’t affected my progress in the mission, but had no idea because it needed to do the 15gb update.
Upon installation, i realized that it didn’t save me playing Keyes somehow, and now my game also didn’t think I’d played missions 1-8 since i beat them before the reinstall. My campaign tracker still said 15hrs total played though, which was good because that included my times spent messing with friends in Halo 2 Anniversary.
Now my issue is that first, my Xbox doesn’t recognize me beating the last two missions achievementwise, and the game doesn’t recognize me beating the first 9…
I REALLY DON’T want to have to replay this entire campaign on Legendary for the 4th time in 2 years… (i rekindled my halo love with halo ce anniversary last year)
Is there some way around this? Some way to fix this?
I had figured campaign progress was part of your progress stored on the cloud but apparently not…
