I know you guys know halo servers are down, but just please just hear me out.
So my friend and I, shadoweddude4, played two rounds of warzone and a few social multi-team games. It stopped working after that, so we started playing MCC.
He eventually had to go, so I went back to 5 to play forge and expand on my new map. I spent hours on it, from 12:00 to 3:10.
I was constantly hitting the quick save button, but nothing showed up to tell me it was saved.
I thought maybe something to do with the update, but I just went to the menu and did a full save just in case. Nothing happenedagain, but I still thought it may have something to do with the update.
Then I went to save it as a new map, just to be sure. Nothing happened.
After I was done, I got out… and when I was in the forge menu, no new map, no “extinction”… All of my hours of work were gone. Only after I got to the main menu, did I learn everything was officially down.
This brings up an issue. I know it was unexpected that it would be down, but still… we need forge to be available offline as well.
I hope this happens soon…
As a fellow forger I agree with you I remember my days of late nights in Reach working on new map ideas and being able to save even when I was offline.
