Just wanted to find out how Halo 5 tries to match people up in Slayer, I have seen some insane match ups now (3 Onyx, 1 Diamond team vs. 3 Plat & 1 Diamond type stuff) and beginning to question how accurate it is.
I imagine, it matches based on available players at that time, that is why there is strange pairing. People would be complaining that wait times for matches are too long, if they forced people to wait for like rankings.
Honestly I feel like ranks dont count toward who you fight I fought an onyx when I was silver, with some unranks and a gold
Its a bunch of stuff, mainly connection/region. Then its your division, then, don’t quote me on it, but I think if you’re in a party or not but i dont think theyve implemented that yet. Yes you might be a Diamond and be placed with lower divisions but thats just to speed up matchmaking. Typically its only a 1-2 division gap. If you’re onyx typically it places you with Onyx or above…typically…
One time I was set with 3 unranked and myself (being a platinum) against 2 diamonds and two plaitnums (or something like that)
this was on weekend arena breakout
I hate it too. I either get paired up with people who suck, and we get destroyed; or we get paired of with animals, and obliterate the enemy team. There are never fair/even matches. That is why I play Arena just until I get the daily win; then I go straight to Warzone.
