Hello, after speaking to Microsoft support I was told to post my concerns here. Recently I was made aware of the bonus content that was to be given to all owners of the Halo: Master Chief Collection who had played from launch day until December 19. I had purchased the game prior to December 19 but was unable to play until December 20. Being a long time supporter of the Halo franchise I would request that the compensation content be given to my account. Thank you in advance.
The compensation eligibility is that you played MCC while connected to xbox live at least once between November 11th and December 19th. If you didn’t then i’m afraid to say you won’t be eligible for the bonus content. The idea of it is not for giving it to all those who purchased it, but to those that had suffered through the various issues the game has had since launch. They may release more details ata a later date, but right now this is what we have to go on. You will still get access to Relic when it releses as this is being given out to the entire community

No it isn’t. The game was completely unplayable at launch. It’s possible to get into games now with some luck. It was literally impossible to get into games at launch.
Also, MS only pointed you here to get you off the line. 343 is completely ignoring these forums. They haven’t replied to a single post here.

The Forum Team have been responding to posts in various forums over the past free weeks, they are certainly not ignoring the forums. There’s even a dev/engineer helping out with Halo Channel / Nightfall queries

This is a Matter of Opinion, seeing as how I don’t really have any issues with it… Lost my progress on Assault on the Control Room, but I played through it and beat in so now I don’t have to worry about it.
It’s a little ridiculous that I can’t contact a support member directley and have to make a forum post, however if a 343 employee could message me directley that would be excellent.
Wait is this is where we ask for compensation? I have the game since day one and I am rather upset at the multiplayer issues (bad lag, trouble finding games, and my level reset, I was a level 10) and expected better from this game. so can I have some compensation as well?

You don’t need to ask for it. As long as you played and were connected to xbox live at least once between November 11th and December 19th, you will recieve the bonus content. If you want to know more about the specifics and timing, you can read over Bonnie’s blog post and the FAQ llinked within it.

If you have a twitter account you can tweet Halo, brav or some of the other team members. On the forums though it’s a differnt matter. With the amount of topics that get posted here every minute (trust me when I say it’s a lot haha), it’s very hard to respond to everyone. The Forum Team will usually respond to various topics posted in the support forums, so if you have a support query it’s always best to post there

I quit about 5 years ago. As I said, they have been replying primaily in the support forums. Both this one and the Halo 5 beta forum. As topics get made so quickly round here, it’s no suprise that they get bogged down and lost/missed.

No. If you get compensation for something YOU DIDN’T PLAY, then I am never buying a 343 product again.
Here’s the thing -Yoink-, you didn’t go through ANY of the problem s the people before the 19th went through so why should you get ANYTHING at all for it? explain.

Then why are they saying that all anyone wants it these garbage e-sports things they are adding? Why is it NOTHING has been fixed yet or even addressed regarding mot of the issues in both MCC and Halo 5?
Plenty of issues have been addressed through the various content updates, though as is the nature of software fixing one thing often can break something unrelated. They have a hard line to walk here as half the community want updates almost daily and the other half wasn’t one big fix all, so i imagine they are going for a medium with weekly. A lot of the fixes will be dependent on what can be pulled together in time and passed for certification, messing it may not be entirely possible to day what they week be able to address week to week.
Patching is not an easy progress by any means and you’ll find that some bigger issues will have to wait until other changes have been put in place. With regards to halo 5, they have a tremendous about of data and feedback to get through and week take them time to collate and work through it (same with mcc really). Most of the issues surrounding halo 5 will be implemented post beta.
It could be contractual regions that they are tweeting about e-sports, I couldn’t really comment much on that
