Please work with whatever studio is producing your halo maps. Halo Reach DLC maps and Halo4 maps have been less than par from the company making these. Show them the Halo2 or Halo3 maps and go from there.
If not, I will not buy any DLC maps. There will be one at max out of the box maps worthing playing competitively.
Really? Because I found the DLC maps to be far better and more enjoyable than the bulk of the on disc maps.
Whatever man. If you want large maps of grayness sparkled with pine trees lets just keep the halo 4 theme.
Or we can back to the Halo2/3 different environment on every map theme.
Your opinions don’t trump mine, just as mine don’t trump yours.
Simply pointing out that I enjoyed the DLC maps in both Reach and Halo 4 that were made in conjunction with CA.
Halo can not evolve the way they want it to if the maps are going to be like Halo4 designed for armor abilities.
Halo2/3 gave maps to the social and competitive crowd in terms of size.
Want bad maps? Throw in underground tunnels and downhill maps.
We know zero about Halo 5, other than it’s coming (but we knew that when they announced Halo 4). We don’t know what the maps will be like, IF there are even armour abilities, what those armour abilities will be, etc.

Downhill and underground maps, you say? High Ground and Epitaph comes to mind.

- Small Maps for 4v4
- Maps not designed for armor abilities
- Fair elevation rule (no Valhalla/High Ground spawn esque)
- The color gray to only make an appearance in clouds
- Ban pine trees need new type of tree
By the time you know anything it will be too late. Watch everyone whine and complain to 343 while an outside company makes all the multiplayer maps.
Bad maps = bad game

The Defiant Map pack and Halo 4’s maps were made by Certain Affinity. CA is founded by former bungie members, headed by Max Hoberman. Hoberman worked on Halos 1, 2, and 3, often as design lead and contributing to multiplayer in the 3rd game. CA made the “Blastactacular” map pack for Halo 2.
Just some fun facts.

It is safe to say they are not made by all Bungie employees though. It is a new group going in the wrong direction. No specifics on how many work with Certain Affinity.
most of certain affinity’s maps have been absolute money

I don’t get what your going at for the first one because most maps are small enough for 4v4’s, but I understand the second one that would be nicer if it wasn’t based on armor abilities. The elevation made challenges and better game play. [no one wants to play in a flat world with walls.] gray is not that huge of a problem but it could use a slight down tone, and lastly pine trees are the best but some other trees would be nice.

No they haven’t. If anything they have been pretty bad, way too small, too focused on close quarters combat and making vehicles feel useless.
Halo 2 had the best maps. Reach was sort of ok for vehicles but for Halo 5 we need bigger maps, I don’t see why not since the jump to Xbox One should be memorable, the Halo 4 map’s were forgettable. -_-
