With all the complaints about the Maps I think it would be interesting if 343i held a contest to let the community build their own Map pack. Have people design Maps in Forge and add them to Matchmaking so that we can play on them. Then we can come here and vote on the maps until we narrow it down to the three best maps. Those winners will then be turned into actual maps and released as a new DLC map pack, as apposed to just sticking the Forge maps in there. The aesthetic of the map, (Snow world, desert world, jungle world, UNSC, Forerunner, Covenant, etc) would be the creators choice for the real map made.

I’m sure there would still be those who complain about the maps but haters gonna hate. What does everyone think?

I’ve been saying they should do this since Reach. While it would be a cool idea, I don’t see it ever happening. Something like this would make 343’s on-disc maps look horrendous in comparison, so I don’t see them subjecting themselves to that.

Halo Reach had community made Forge maps added to matchmaking. Not everyone liked them but that’s why we should get to vote on them here. Having the map designs made into actual maps would just be a cool bonus.

Some people from ForgeHub have been remaking maps from previous Halo games. Maybe they could be added into a playlist like you said and we could vote on the best 3.
