Wouldn’t it be cool if Machinima makers could take the best tools from all the Halos, like maybe AIs or pelicans from Halo Custom Edition, or extreme armor customization like in reach and halo 4, incorporate weapon variations like in Halo 5, add a customization feature for the weapons and the ability to play as A.I. Characters like marines or elites maybe flood variations i mean that would be amazing. I mean no more Helioskrill elites or sloppy green screen non-Spartan characters, more build space maybe, but basically im saying a halo built from the best halo mechanics and some not implemented yet in a game built specifically for Custom games, Forge, and Machinima, by now you all should know what i mean, Maybe im wasting my time typing this out but I know a number of people that would love that kind of product.
The dream, brother. The dream.
The problem of course being a lot of those assets would never see use outside of Custom Games, so they wouldn’t want to put all the effort into doing it.
maybe in the future we will. I used to spend hours watching all the halo custom game stories and machinima
Yup until then we can use custom edition, and sadly you’re probably right Orca, but if they made it cost money it would probably sell well for the best forge and custom maps.
Its a great idea, I’d love to see what Rooster Teeth could do with something like that.
I personally feel that making a game specifically for Machinima kind of ruins the point. Part of Machinima’s appeal is that it’s challenging to turn a product meant for playing into means for movie-making. It’s about breaking the rules, so to speak, and figuring out solutions to the shortcomings of the game when it comes to making a Machinima. If you tailor a game towards Machinima it would remove all of the challenge and fun. It would just be an animation suite, which already exist and offer far more freedom than a Halo game based on Machinima.

you have a point but it would still be cool and it would make some of the best multi player ever of all time
A lot of people just rip the models from the games into something like Source Filmmaker and do it that way these days anyway so, I really can’t see this happening.
Especially since all Halo titles going forward are apparently going to be on PC as part of Xbox’s ‘Play Anywhere’ program.

yea but biggest part is that it would combine most of halos best features and make it so people don’t need to do that to make something cool, and you all can’t tell me you really don’t want full armor customization and different playable races or maybe even a proper firefight game mode. like it would have some of the most loved things.
You know what would be cooler?
PLAYER MADE CAMPAIGNS
But this is still a pretty cool idea which I would like to have

exactly a good side of this, Halo ce had player made campaigns on pc, Xbox already excepts pc content Bethesda is doing it now with Fallout and Skyrim , and forge could handle the AI if war-zone can.
