Halo Live Stream Skills

it’s a bit shocking how bad these guys are at their own game. How can you effectively develop a game you can’t even play competently? Right?!??

I bet none of those people actively take part in the development process. They are all administrative or community support people.

I get that but shouldn’t it be part of your job to play at least an hour a day in order to be at least average

Why does it matter?

It’s comments like this that prove people on this forum have absolutely no clue how the business world works.

Not all developers need to be amazing at the game. That’s what they have the 343 Pro Team for. I’d like to see how you’d do against Neighbor.

That’s eerily similar to walking into a Toyota dealership and expecting all of the workers to be good drivers. The skills are unrelated. The person that is good at leading a sales team and the mechanic repairing a transmission may know a lot about the vehicles and the business but that doesn’t mean they can flawlessly use the vehicles.

You realize those guys were going up against the Pro team right. The Devs and Admins are like rookies when compared to that team.

So the company is screwed because employees spend more time working than practicing the game, even when they have the pro team to provide constant feedback?

You guys know the master chief voice actor doesn’t know how to play the game and lost to a 9 year old girl in a public halo event and he even had boosts like over shield.

Meaning: These guys know their job and mostly only their job alone.

The art design team probably can’t aim with the pistol but they sure as hell can draw the halo universe.
The sound team may know half the maps or less but they can produce amazing music and sound effects.
The list can go on.

I get it. The 343 team isn’t as invested in the game as your typical player when in any other business the business owner is invested much more than the customer.
