I am on a quest to collect every written piece of halo lore that has been printed, be it a novel, graphic novel, or comic book.
The list I have come up with so far is as follows:
Novel
The Fall of Reach
The Flood
First Strike
Contact Harvest
The Cole Protocol
Evolutions
Ghosts of Onyx
Glasslands
The Thursday War
Cryptum
Primordium
Silentium
Comic Book Series
Uprising
Helljumper
Bloodline
The Fall of Reach
Initiation (Upcoming comic series about Sarah Palmer)
Graphic Novel
Halo Graphic Novel
Genesis
Reference
The Art of Halo
The Art of Halo 3
The Halo Encyclopedia
The Essential Visual Guide
The Art of Buiding Worlds
The Art of Halo 4
Other
Dr. Halseys Journal
I got this list from Halo Nation, but I figured that if there was anyone who would know if I overlooked something, or had any insight on how I would obtain any of the comic books, it would be someone here!
| It seems you have all of the actual novels/comics listed.
The only thing I see missing is the last, and yet to be named, book for the Kilo 5 trilogy.
There are however several wonderful art and guide books, which I’m sure you can find just as easily. If you’d like I’d be happy to list them for you.
You may want to get your hands on a copy of the original trilogy set released in 2001-2003.
If you don’t have them already. It’s a great read and collectors item in general.
Best of luck in your collection gathering my friend. |
I should mention I’ve read every novel that’s been released except Silentium, and afew stories out of Evolutions. By visual guides do you mean the Halo encyclopedia?
| Not sure who you’re speaking to.
Either way, there’s quite a few art and guide books to get.
All of which I highly recommend getting, due to the information and art within.
Here’s a list of what I’m speaking about:
You mentioned the guide books and I love those as resources of Halo info. The Reach version also had a Special Edition version too that was a kind of The Art of Halo Reach addendum.

| Ah yes my apologies, and thank you for pointing that out.
Also thank you for sharing the info on the hard copy of The Bestarium,
and the equally interesting Halo: Overture. I hadn’t known about either of those.
I have to agree on the point of the guides, the extracts and additions of lore information is amazing.
As for the Halo: Reach guide, I’d forgotten there were two versions.
Nonetheless thank you again for pointing this all out and for the link to Grim’s thread. |
You are going to struggle with the Art of Halo 3. Sadly that book is very rare and ranges from a very rare £20 to a very common £9000. I dont even have it.
