Halo Legacy System

So when Halo: Xbox one or Halo 5 or what ever it’s called comes out, it should reward people who have played past halo games. I talking about things like Armors, and nameplates. So if you Played ODST, Halo Anniversary, reach, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo wars, Halo 4, Halo Reach Beta Halo 5 beta ( Hint hint 343!) You get special nameplates. For armors, we get Some of the most past popular armors. Like Hyabusta if that’s spelled right. Protector, CQB, Arbiter armor for elites and much more. And special emblems. So What ca think?

EDIT: Also : Halo CE, Halo PC, Halo Custom Edition, Halo 2 Vista

I think Mark V should be awarded for playing Anniversary, H3, ODST, Reach and Halo 4 or at least from some system that recognises your loyalty

I would like a proper legacy system like this, but i think that if they did do it, it would only have halo 4 and spartan assault (343’s work). Kinda how bungie did it, ignoring others like halo wars (made by ensemble).

If you’re going to suggest a “Legacy system” for all Halo games, at least list off ALL HALO GAMES, that’s FPS and RTS, Xbox and PC! (HINT HINT BeguiledTurnip)

I do like the idea of a Halo Legacy Armour System giving fans rewards for being loyal to the series.

So this is my idea for armor rewards. I believe for Halo 5, the legacy armor can be earned in-game but takes longer to get. As Halo CE, Halo PC and Halo 2 have no actual achievement or record if the person played it they cannot be rewarded armor.

Halo Wars: Mjolnir Mark IV - Red Team, Ripa’Moramee Arbiter Armour
Halo: Reach: Mjolnir Mark V(B) Variant - Noble Six armor, Sangheili Zealot Armor
Halo CEA: Mjolnir Mark V - The Master Chief Classic Armor, Sangheili Combat Harness
Halo 2 Vista: Mjonir Mark VI, Sangheili Honour Guard
Halo 3: Mjolnir Mark VI - Master Chief Halo 3 Armor, Arbiter Thel’Vadam Armour
Halo 3: ODST: ODST - Rookie Armour and Other ODST armour
Halo: Spartan Assault: GEN2 Recruit - Spartan Davis Armor, Merg Vol Armour
Halo 4: Mjolnir Mark VI - Master Chief Halo 4 Armor, Jul’Mdama Armour

I agree completely! The legacy system idea was great in Halo Reach, but I don’t feel as though they missed out on its potential. I like Stubborn Barren’s idea though, having an armour set representing each game. It could be the classic armours, as he suggests, or it could also be other, more well-known armours from those games. For Halo 3, you could get CQB, for Halo 2, you could get the Halo 2 era Elite Combat Harness (if Elites return as playable characters), for example.

In any case, this is a great feature that needs to be built upon in future Halo games. It has so much potential that shouldn’t be wasted!

That be cool. Battlefield gave you extra guns like the M1911 if you were part of their gun club or if you had played previous battlefields.

They could also do achievement legacies like in Gears of War. Like if you beat all the previous games on Legendary you get like a set of skins for your guns.

I don’t understand what you’re getting at.

But a Legacy system would be cool. But lets not include the PC games because that seems like it would punish the guy who thought i’ll get the console version because I prefer them. Now Halo Wars and Spartan Assault maybe include those two but i’m not sure.

If there is to be one i got a good little list of charms of things that come with them. I’ll guess that this system will look at your account and give you certain things if you have played a Halo game.

Halo CE - Mark V Armor, Captain Keyes Tags and his Pipe as an emblem. Flood Outbreak themed Forerunner Weapons. Stance - Captain Keyes Pipe.

Halo 2 - Special Armor for Elites- Honor Guard, Consular, and Heretic. Mark VI Spartan armor… Emblem- Mark of Shame, Mark of Shame and Don’t Make a Girl a Promise Tags. Skin- Standard Original Black Battle Rifle Skin, Red themed Covenant Weapons. Skulls - Envy, Assassins, Whuppopotamus, Sputnik, Ghost Angry! Stance- Shamed

Halo 3 - Armor-Beaten Up Mark VI, Hayabusa, and Recon. Elites-Assault and Astetic. Skins- Concussion Rifle, Brute Shot Skin, Sergeant Johnson Seal of approval UNSC Weapons. Johnsons Cigar Emblem. Stance - Johnsons Cigar Stance

Halo 3 ODST - Armor- ODST standard, Shark Attack (Dutch’s armor), Recon (Romeo’s Armor), and Demo Ops (Mickey’s Armor). ODST emblem, Virgil Emblem, and Drop Pod Emblem. Skins- Sound Suppressed SMG, Golden SMG (Because of the Golden Hunters).
Skulls- We are ODST ( makes normal marines into ODST). Stance - ODST

For playing Halo CE - 3 Trilogy Tags, Emblems, Special Assassinations and stances.

Halo Wars - Armor - Mark IV. Vehicles Skins Forge Spawnable Flaming Warthog and Honor Guard Wraith, Scorpion Grizzly Skin and Falcon Hawk Skin. Skins - Sergeant Forge’s Shotgun. Stance - If they want war.

Halo Reach - Armor - Mark V variants. Elites- Officer, Zealot, Ultra, Field Marshal. Skins - Reach Assault Rifle Skin, Carbine Needler Rifle Skin. Assassinations - Reach Style. Stance - Noble
Halo 4 - Armor - Ricochet, Perfect, Didact and Fotus. Skins - Didact Forerunner weapons. Stances - The Didact, Forerunner, and Promethean. Unique Halo 4 Assassinations.
Halo Spartan Assault - Armor Merg Vols armor, and Spartan Recruit Remember Davis armor. Emblem - Remember Davis. Skin - Remember Davis Battle Rifle Skin.
Thats things that i would like to see. It seems a bit much but Halo has been alive for over a decade now so it is expected IMO.

I like this, at least give us some recognition for being with Halo for so long.

I think this is a great idear.

I have my Halo 2 nameplate for REACH.

if it’s easy for them to do it then i still think it would be a waste of resources and time to do it

Sorry, most times it feels like both 343i and the Xbox community love giving the PC community the shaft. Sometimes I run into people who refuse to accept Halo PC games exist. The least you can do is at least end your OP to include those games.

Sure thing. I play Halo PC as well. I got Halo Vista, and Halo 1 PC. I got my Nameplates for them on Reach.

Just give us Nameplates, and I’d be fine. I’d use the one for entering my CE PC CD key, if they could still do that. Or armor is fine too, I guess.

Surely they’ve kept all of the player stats that were tracked on Bungie.net and used to unlock nameplates in Reach. I can’t imagine it would be hard to implement something like this in the next Halo game. I’d love to have my Halo 2 nameplate again.

Yeah, and in addition to @Delko Elite 15

We should Get a weapon skin pack making all the weapons look like the way they did in 1/2/3/ODST
