Jason Jones was the head of Halo Combat Evolved, the Successful Halo 2,and the Awesome Halo 3:ODST 343i should hire him back to make halo! (i dont know if he joined 343i just tell me in the comments below)“Jason is actually a lot like a shipboard A.I. where, most of the time, it does miraculous work that nobody else can do. He’s also the guy who fired Marty and spent 6 years creating Destiny which didn’t exactly pan out very well.
Also he effectively owns Bungie why would he come over to 343i? I don’t think he wants to work under Microsoft anymore.
He’s still at Bungie. He was a project lead on Bungie’s latest release, Destiny.
Honestly, I’d much rather have Joseph Staten and Martin O’Donnell come back to Halo. State helped shape the Halo universe and Marty delivered its sounds. Thankfully, Staten is writing Halo: Shadow of Intent which is out later this year!

[I thought that was Harold Ryan?
](http://teambeyond.net/marty-odonnell-fired/)Besides, I don’t think we need him or his Half-naked guy Easter-egg…
Frankie had a much better cameo.
Considering that (a) Joe Staten (writer of much corn and voice of many grunts) is already onboard with Microsoft and writing a new Halo novel, (b) Martin O’Donnell is technically unemployed and chances are decent 343i will at least try to recruit him, (c) many of 343i’s staff are former Bungie employees, (d) Max Hoberman, responsible for what most people consider the Holy Grail of Halo multiplayer, is frequently contracting for 343i, and (e) the existing Bungie crew is responsible for the relative trainwreck that is Destiny, I’d say no.
Hiring Jason Jones is not a must for 343 Industries or the Halo franchise.
I miss the Jason Jones Halo days too
I thought Jason Jones was a Daily Show correspondent? When did he have time to work on Halo?
Please… someone… make it stop.
Halo 4 is miles better than Destiny. Whoever 343 have now, sticking with them is a better plan than trying to recover the nostalgic glory days of 2000s-era Halo.
What did he ever do?
Still love his easter eggs in both 2 and 3
I don’t seem to recall Jason Jones being the mind behind the Forerunner Trilogy, Hunt the Truth, most of Halo: Escalation, Broken Circle and New Blood. Seems Halo is still good without him.
I could tell you about vast worlds and engaging stories.
I could tell you about games with revolutionary gameplay mechanics made by Jason Jones
I could tell you…

I actually Spent a 100 hours on destiny. Went and played Halo 4 cause I was tired of Destiny’s horrible multiplayer and crappy campaign. And had so much fun. I took my disk of Destiny. Put it in its case and gave it to a friend who wanted to play But couldn’t afford it.

Max Hoberman isn’t apart of 343i. He’s apart of Certain Affinity.

Actually, I’m pretty sure that Jason Jones had been working on different projects since Halo 2, He didn’t have as much of a hand in the development in Halo 3, and after Halo 3 released, he was entirely on the Destiny Train. Don’t really think he did anything worth noting from ODST or Reach. I think you can get a pretty good insight into his involvement and Bungie as a whole if you watch This Vidoc. Warning though, its like an hour long, pretty good though.

Cobra is right you might need to broaden your horizon of what you think Halo is, It’s not just the game, yes majority of the people know Halo the games but it transcends that into other mediums which are better then the game times because they can go more in depth and detail then a 10 hour game can. Few series can say they can go into different mediums and succeed, Halo and Star Wars is the only series I think can say that. So no thank you, I’ll stick with Frankie and his bunch of minus minus Grim, I’m still on the fence about him
