The Halo Community IS NOT on Waypoint. They are the YouTube channels, pro players, forge artists, Twitch Livestreamers, and content creators that are scattered about. The players in matchmaking and on these forums are either clueless/careless or ridiculously closed minded to other thoughts (New Halo and Old Halo supporters alike).
Halo isn’t dead, the Halowaypoint Community is.
If you want a real thought out, constructive feedback on Halo Matchmaking don’t look here, this is just a a war zone of insults driven by people who either want to pay $60 every two years for new maps and a new campaign and people who want a game that is like every other Tripple A Shooter out there.
If you want to talk with THE REAL Halo Community check someplace else because they aren’t here.
If you wonder why many other fan bases refer to Halo as a “Baby’s game”, it’s because of the people on here that hold shouting matches and act like whiny pre-teens rather than act civilized.
But what do I know? I mean I’ve only been playing since 2010, Think that Halo 3 has been the best since the original while Halo 2 is overrated, and that Halo 5: Guardians will be a great game if people give it a chance.

No matchmaking system.
Not being able to use the energy sword,
No playable Elites (which they still can’t figure out.)

It is here, the problem is people also are very strongly polarized in their opinions. So people kind of just attack each other. It doesn’t help that every thread criticizing Halo 5 starts with, “Hurr durr those stupid 343bola fanboys and COD noobs luva this game hurr durr.” Kind of hard to talk to someone when they insult their opposition in their first sentence.
Ummm well Halo 4’s population sort of proves that Halo is defintely not as big as it used to be. Pre MCC the peak was around 10k players which is horrible and is basically as dead as Hallo is gonna get. When a game goes from hundreds of thousands of playrs playing it to only a few thousand players then there is something wrong. For you to act like people are overreacting is dumb.
As you stated yourself you have only been playing since 2010 so you should probably keep your horribly uneducated opinions to yourself. Some of us have been pl;aying halo for over a decade and have been able to see what works and what has failed.

Agreed. It’s especially hurtful considering my huge distaste for COD and it’s half a second kill times.

To be fair the large majority of players never come to these forums and obobviously said large majority is the actual playerbase whole.

You also said Halo 2 was overrated, when it isn’t. Halo 3 was (and still is) far more popular than Halo 2.
There are still enough things introduced by Halo 2 for people to like it though…

I’m not disrespecting people who like Halo 2? I’m only saying I though Halo 2 was overrated, that I didn’t personally find it the best Halo. People always preach and preach how it was the pinnacle of the series when I just… don’t agree personally.
I though you had misread my post and thought I was saying I disliked the changes and tried to form a counter argument by saying that I must not have liked those additions either as they changed the game. My apologies as obviously I misinterpreted your post!
Anyway all I was trying to say is I just really don’t think Halo 2 was as good as people credit it to being and most people see just being a bit fogged up by their nostalgia. I still find Halo CE to be the best considering how amazing it was for PC, especially including its awesome modding scene.
