Is it just me or does the aura around Halo 5: Guardians regarding the soundtrack and atmosphere seem to feel more like a space epic like Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica?
I think that the Halo universe as a whole has always had that space epic feel to it, especially in the books. The games however, just haven’t matched that same feel as the books gave. I for one hope Halo 5 will at least consider giving that same epic feeling, and the music seems like a good start.
Well as humanity comes into the next Tier of technology and they no longer have to deal with one whole Covenant threat, we will probably seeing more space epic stuff with the human’s interactions with the Storm Covenant and Forerunner technology.

Oh I agree the expanded canon had a much more space epic feel to it, and I definitely love the direction we seem to be going in. Definitely makes me look forward to what the campaign has in store for us.
