Halo is straying into CoD waters.

So we all get this. 343 is trying to get CoD noob kids into Halo. They’ve already made multiplayer unfair, too fast-paced for Halo (Halo is fast-paced but only to an extent that players find it fun), over-realistic sound effects, cheap armor… C’mon, 343. You know we look forward to Halo 5 only because of your campaign, nothing else.

List of things they did:

Controls (e.g. Smart scope (rip off CoD) at LT)
Sprint
Abilities that let noobs earn the edge
Smart Scope (I don’t care whether it’s good or not, as long as it’s similar to ADS it’s counted rip off!)
Chest bump bullsht
Spartan chatter bullsh
t
Ground pound 1 hit bulldh*t. If you fail to kill with that you’ll die immediately, I guarantee.
Over-fancy graphics.
Cheap armor
MLG Halo games are not fun to watch anymore.
Medals no longer give you the sense of achievement.

List of obstacles:

CoD kids will stay in CoD as I’ve always been with Halo.
Their f*cking incompetence
Halo: Reach
Us.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. These arguments are just the same as "This game has guns in it, its a lot of fun. What? That new game has guns in it to?! Why are people stealing Ideas!?"

Game will evolve and change based on what sells, and movement mechanics are whats on the rise right now. A lot of FPS games are going to continue to build off of that as well. So yeah, original ideas are kind of hard to come by in FPS right now.

If game companies take too big a risk by making huge drastic changes to the game series that people love, they risk alienating the core audience they had to begin with.

If an idea works then I really don’t care where it comes from. Bring on Halo 5!

Not like cod period quit making posts refering this orange to an apple

Ok so goes the same for the what ur saying as well… And ur not saying anything different than the -Yoinks!- that already defend it so…

ADS in halo? I’ll pass

I wouldn’t say Cod waters it’s more of a gameplay that the community being Xbox has taken over the last fire years

That’s absurd.

But you arent aiming down the sights, the tiny, microscopic camera on the gun is be broadcasted to you HUD. Your gun, from the outside, is not being raised at all. Plus you still have full movement and getting shot takes you out of Smartlink, something that no other shooter does.

Anyway, no. I could do without sprint, but at least they are balancing it. And atleast its even starts again, though I hope they make loadouts available for Firefight and Custom Games.

Exactly.

Then why do you see the -Yoinking!- sight?

Oh, so -Yoinking!- what, the cheap scope circle on a black screen is being replaced by a more realistic iron sight where you still have full movement and will get taken out of when you get shot. Same as the scope before, just on all weapons. Big -Yoinking!- deal.

Although I do think halos treading waters here, most if your points have nothing to do with cod. The main reasons I believe are:
Bit lower kill times
Sight Aiming on all guns
and of course, Sprint

What RYNO said…

Not another one of these absurd arguments. Purists always overblow the similarities, and ignore the fact that Halo has become a stronger multiplayer overall because of several of these changes. Sprint is something which should have been a natural ability for years(Spartans are supposed to be fast, ya know; not restricted to a brisk jog), and 343 is bringing us an ever-truer SPARTAN experience. Calm down. Sit down. Play the game. Open your mind. That is all.

The big deal is that you completely -Yoinking!- lied to get a point across. If it were visuals from a camera, you wouldn’t be looking down a sight.

Realism? Because looking down a sight with a gigantic visor in your way makes sense. No, its only there because CoD gamers expect it to be there.

That’s an OPINION.

> Calm down. Sit down. Play the game. Open your mind. That is all.

Being open minded doesn’t mean accepting everything, and why don’t you open your mind to the possibility Halo can be a fast game without sprint.

Well at least money isn’t flying out after kills yet.
