Yeah why let the creators of halo, and the makers of the good halos with the ground breaking multilayers try again. Oh wait we will let 343 add their cod features and will accept new features that resembles every other game made these days and say change is good even though the old halos still feel great. I hope that Halo’s developers read this. First off, I never ever use forums! I haven’t bothered with one in years. So for me to even be on here is saying a lot. I have been a Halo fan since the beginning. I have stuck by it’s side since day one. Over the years, I have seen the series slowly get worse and worse. Halo 5 tops them all. I have to say that I am hugely disappointed. The single player story completely blows. There’s not much to the multiplayer. Not enough game modes (you took out all of the good ones) For christ’s sake there’s not even a version of Blood Gulch?! That map has and always will be at the core of Halo multiplayer! What were you guys thinking?! There’s not even freaking split screen?! There is no social environment in this game that welcomes players to get to know each other and build a social community. The idea of custom games was trashed and basically thrown out. WHY?! Custom games have always been a favorite by many! The REQ system is a totally insane rewarding system. It’s just way too much and not smooth enough. You could’ve set up a simpler system like in the past. Or perhaps just had a loadout system of sorts. I feel like you guys tried to make way too many tweaks with this game. If something works then don’t screw with it! Keep it simple! It feels like you took out a lot of the core essential components that make Halo. It’s like you tried to start fresh and make a whole new game. Which I completely understand your efforts, but I’m sorry to say you failed. I also understand that people will buy Halo for many years to come because they support you and what Halo is to them. People LOVE Halo! That doesn’t give you the right to say things like “we can’t please everybody” Of course you can’t! BUT you could’ve pleased a whole lot more people if you didn’t rip the heart out of the series! I am overwhelmingly dissapointed with this game. I expected way more. I thought this was finally going to be the Halo that restored the years of failure! WRONG! You guys have a lot of serious issues to fix. I look forward to hopefully seeing things tweaked over the next few months to make it a better game. I already feel that I should be refunded, but I don’t typically like to be that way. So all I can say is that I expect to see a lot of FREE DLC. You better not charge a dime considering this game is already lacking SO much. I really hope somebody from 343 is going to read this. Halo is a 2 way street between the developer and the consumer. I feel like you guys totally left out the consumers needs on this one and just did things the way you liked best. If things don’t get fixed relatively soon, this will be the last Halo I will have ever bought. Which is saying SOOOOOOO much!!!

All new maps and gametypes will be free to download and this has been confirmed. Perhaps 343 didn’t want to ruin gamemodes in a way that happened with SWAT. Imagine it, BTB with spawns like in SWAT. It would be an utter nightmare. Although I do understand your frustration at it not being out at launch, they had a set time and perhaps couldn’t get it done in time, and needed to push it back to work on it.

^^^^^this. Is the xbox one already at its technical limit 2 years in? Or is 343i an incompetent developer? It has to be one of the 2, to explain why H5 graphics suck and why there is no split screen. There is no other possible answer.

I’ve played every halo game since #1. I’ve never had as much latency issues with any of the Bungie titles. I’m just speaking from my own experiences. Others may differ I’ll grant that. And I’m currently running a 1tb download 300mb up connection so it can’t be an issue with the speed on my end… I haven’t had less than 50mb-100mb down in over 10 years. The maps aren’t big. The graphics aren’t incredible to render. The player count per match is miniscule comparatively. There’s no excuse in this generation of tecnology to have any lag issues. None.

Warzone is actually extremely fun but I would like to see some big team battle and classic halo maps remade like every other halo had.
I remember when Halo 4 came out and everyone said it was too casual and cod like and wanted Halo Reach. (this I kinda agreed with tbh)
I remember when reach came out with bloom and armor abilities and everyone cried and wanted Halo 3.
I remember when Halo 3 came out and everyone hated the equipment and wanted Halo 2.
Same thing every game, every forum. Go on Blizzard forums and read threads of people who played 4000 hours of diablo 3 to say it sucks and diablo 2 was better and they want a refund. Every community does this and it’s something I’ll never understand. Games iterate and change. I remember when smash bros brawl was not what I, and like minded players wanted. It’s still a quality product, it just didn’t meet my particular expectation. Was still an Ok game that replaced melee for the most part. I didn’t post on forums and cry about it, I read the reviews and knew what I was getting before I put my 60 bucks down.
If you don’t like it, don’t play it and I’m sorry you can’t find this game fun. Master Chief Collection has plenty of content on it I guess. Best advice I can give to ya.

when are they coming? I need these game modes and have seen nothing other than the 3 social game types we get to choose from for the weekend

I’m sure they have their reasons. December is set to launch btb and forge I think and we are seeing a weekend playlist in a few days.
