halo is not for casual gamers

halo is a game for hardcore gamers, or competitive players. 343 needs to realize this before they push away all the long time halo fans. They are trying to make the game to much like cod, but ended up with a broken hybrid. Halo will never beat out cod in sales its just something everyone is going to have to live with, but if they keep trying to copy them to please the casual gamers they will just loose more sells, because people don’t buy halo to play cod they buy halo to play halo. What’s killing me the most though isn’t the ordnance drops, the kill cams(which by the way ruined tea bagging), the dropping in and out of games, the abundance of power weapons, or the bolt shot as a starting weapon. It’s the absence of dedicated servers and true skill ranking system. Without the servers I’ve noticed more lag in a month on halo 4 then the whole time I played reach( and I was a noble on reach). It just shows 343 is cutting corners where ever they can. The lack of a true rank system shows that they are trying to not hurt the bad players feelings. Like I mentioned before I can deal with all the other things, but the other things shows that 343 has no creative force of there on. They just combined the two biggest fps together and made it shiny instead of coming up with anything original (I hate that my favorite gaming franchise is in there hands).

Shut up, your an idiot

And you are a troll.

Why not both…? Not hard to have seperate social playlists so everyone can have fun.

Rank hurts people’s feelings? They still have K/D you know.

K/D means nothing I had an awful K/D on reach but I was gold once. A lot more then K/D goes into a true skill system. I can get a decent K/D by going into an oddball game and and just killing everyone without ever getting the ball, I may not win but my K/D would be good. Also not many people looks at everyones service record, but it’s hard to miss a big number beside that person’s spartan in the lobby.

I agree. 343i ruined competitive Halo gaming. With Halo dead, we have nothing left.

Casual games are the type of social games you find on Facebook and the like.
Saying 343 dumbed down Halo for casual gamers just doesn’t make sense. Casual gamers aren’t playing Halo, they’re playing Zynga games on Facebook.

All I saw was blah blah blah blind hate and ignorant posting.

You made hardcore players look bad.
CE was geared for casual play. So your statement of saying it was always meant for the hardcore is unfounded.

Also the casual player has kept halo alive for a long while as they have greater numbers and spent more on the game than hardcore. (As in they bought more copies of the game not just doodads etc)

What a ridiculous notion.

343i, it’s a video game, it’s all casual, there are no endless hordes of cyber athletes on xbox360 eager to win billions

343 disagrees with you OP.

When I die in 3 bullets to an assault rifle is the day Halo can be called casual.

The term casual is being used out of context. What I should say instead is bad gamers, you know like the gamers that play fable 3 instead of ninja gaiden or play modern warfare instead of halo 3. I mean some gamers are bad because they play them casually, some are bad because of some kind of hand eye retardation. Whatever the reason it doesn’t matter, but like I said 343 is trying to cater to these people instead of the lesser elite gamers. If anyone disagrees with that your probably one of these people that love call of duty, fable 3, and barney’s adventures.

We apparently have very different definitions of the word casual. My definition is someone who barely plays games. A hardcore gamer would be someone who plays a large variety of games, not just what’s popular. You kind of sound like a casual.

Someone who doesn’t play the same games that you do, or the games that you view as “better” is not a “bad gamer”.
Someone having a differing opinion than you does not make them wrong and you right. Don’t look down on and belittle others that don’t play the same games you do.

hardly anyone is playing halo 4. Halo 4 is not for casual or skilled gamers. its for a small % of gamers that play halo.

i had 55 friends playing H4 the first day

now i have 14 friends on

out of the 14 only 2 love H4 the other 12 have made complaints about H4. most of the complaints are the same. to many OP weapons. to random. PODS suck. boring. unbalanced maps. ect. You can read all the same problems players have on the forums.

If you like Halo 4 at all listen to these people that care about Halo. Dont get mad and insult them. then there wont be a halo 5 to play when those people dont buy it.

oh my god a noble on reach you sir are so pro.
