Halo is not dead, it's combat has evolved..

First of all, I have never been better with the DMR… Lol hope it doesn’t get nerfed. Never had such a thrill playing MM, calling in kill streak ordnance, and PWNing ppl not using the DMR. I know it’s not the “classic” Halo we’re all used to. Times change and so does business. Behind all the rocket launchers and visors, Halo is a business. Thus, Halo has changed. Think of it as a different style of Halo. We got oldskool like REACH and H3, and newSkool being Halo 4. So no, Halo is not dead, it’s combat has just evolved… again.

Oh yeah…

BS Lag Comp? Check.

Stripping all depth and strategy required in HALO? Check.

Heavy aim assist? Check.

Where’s the evolution?

Guys, theres a lot of QQ threads for your to cry and whine about how this isn’t what you wanted. Try posting your whine posts in those threads.

Evolution for new players or noobs. 343 made it clear that they are catering to new players. Like I said its a business, it’s how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

> If shrinking the skill gap = evolving then yeah, I agree.

Made me lol, but this.

Its combat has devolved would be a better way to put it, in my view.

The skill gap only SEEMS to shrink because some adapt to the new set of parameters and others dont. This game, just like previous titles in this franchise or any game for that matter, is the same for everyone. If you want to argue this or that bridges the gap between skilled and less skilled players, I would argue that you have failed to adapt and use those same things properly to maintain your gap.

And in the spirit of what Halo stands for, ask yourself who the Master Chief would prefer covering his behind. Those who adapt or those who whine on the forums that they even have to?

I think he’s being sarcastic.

> We got oldskool like REACH and H3

Did…Did you just compare the awesomesauce that is Halo 3 with the turd that is Reach?

Get out.

It’s no different in the Arena. With no armor abilities. Still here SON!

No, the skill gap shrinks because the game is made easier so newer players are less put off. Why do you think hit boxes are so big, aim assist is so high and weapons spawn at random? It’s a simple business tactic used by many shooter developers.

The complainers have no trouble adapting; they just dislike what they’ve adapted to and want to voice their discontent.

I love all those legends and mitos of bigger hit boxes than before.

Are you serious? You support them making the game vastly easier, eliminating the skill gap in precision rifles with heavy aim assist and just generally ruining the multiplayer for the sake of people who can’t play games properly?

Oh God, this is a Halo forum for Christ sake. I think 343i did a brilliant job with everything EXCEPT the multiplayer, the aim assists are insane, I even went back to Halo 3 to compare the BR, monumental difference. Oh and you’re good with the DMR because it’s the easiest rifle to use, thank the aim assist and dont flatter yourself. I’m a God with the BR in Halo 4 too.

There’s more aim assist than ever. Any idiot can feel it in the controls. Some of my friends aren’t even touching the MP because of the terrible aiming in this game. Again, I played Halo 3 today to compare, I went 20-8, 15-4 and got similar scores, so this isn’t a matter of me being crap at the game. It really is ridiculous and 343i don’t care enough to even address it.

If they are complaining that the skill gap has shrunk, they are having trouble adapting.

Personally Im enjoying this game minus the acceptations of a few small things like theater sucking really bad and ordnance drops containing snipers, lasers and rockets this game is the best “playing” halo I’ve played to date.

All 343 needs to do now is update the playlists and add in a separate playlist for the competitive people to hone their halo skills in and this game will be 95% golden.

OH and please ad multi team in soon please ASAP

I know, I never mentioned hitboxes. I’m telling you why people are complaining about the aiming mechanics. That;s the real issue.

No, they are complaining that the skill gap has shrunk because they dislike the shrinking of the skill gap. That’s really all there is to it.
