Halo is NOT a perfect game!

I’m not too sure why exactly people are setting this game up to be some PERFECT Halo game. It is almost like kids assume 343i promised to make a game that will last forever and have ZERO flaws. This causes SO many kids crying about adding new things, changing things, getting rid of things, ect,… People have seriously picked out as many things they can find wrong or odd about Halo 4 and have bashed the heck out of it!

Examples:
“killcam is for COD ONLY”
“Trolls can ruin the game because their is no limitation to _____”
“There isn’t enough to do with forge mode”
“The mantis is overpowered”
“They are not showing us enough of the game”

And I am pretty sure I could keep going for an entire post or more but NOBODY in 343i said that this game would be perfect. I am excited for the new things 343i is bringing us and I am not going to let some stupid little mistake ruin the game for me and neither should you. The loyal members of this community are sick of people complaining about the DUMBEST things.

What are you trying to achieve by picking out things you don’t like about the game?

Is it to help reassure yourself that you don’t like it?
Is it just cause your a Halo CE Fan boy? Or COD Fan boy?
Are you just bored?

In your minds, you are setting this game up to be the best Halo ever and when you notice a mistake an alarm in your head goes off saying, “That isn’t supposed to be there, wth 343!?” And it is understandable that you are uncertain about the game and how it will play out but it is NOT out for another 3 weeks. Complain after we have it in our hands.

They need something to talk about to keep this forum alive.

Halo 3 was perfect… IMO.

Some of us complain because we don’t agree with some of the elements of the game. I don’t even agree with some of the mechanics. Some will hold their judgement until they play the game and some won’t.

Thanks for the logical posts guys. Keep them coming please!

> Halo 3 was perfect… IMO.

Halo 3 was the worst Halo game to me…

And that shows tastes change and people CAN be civilized about it, instead of going all nuts over tiny things.

Besides: who said Halo is/was perfect?
I don’t know a single game in the series which is perfect. I mean, CE and H2 are (to me and many others) amongst the absolute all time best shooter games…neither of those games is without its flaws. Take the controls of the vehicles in CE for instance, which is absolutely horrible…
H2 to me is perfect in the sense that it is everything Halo should be to me…but its definately not flawless.

Yeah Halo 3 was good but not the best, Halo 1 and 2 are the classics imo.

Perfection is a flawed human ideal. It doesn’t exist in nature nor man-made.

> Halo 3 was perfect… IMO.

Need I remind you of the bad hit detection in multiplayer, or the BR’s insane amount of spread? How about the terrible strafe acceleration, and the fact that the most interesting equipment wasn’t used much in multiplayer? Or how about the fact that Bungie opted out of a Gravemind boss fight seconds after foreshadowing one?

The game was really good, but it had its share of issues.

That was my point sir. People THINK a game is perfect, or set it up to be without saying it or noticing.

> Halo 3 was perfect… IMO.

Finally, someone who understands the difference between facts and opinions. The fact of the matter is, there is no perfect game. But from the looks of it, Halo 4 will be my favorite out of any game I have ever played, and I started playing games when the NES was popular

Need I remind you that he said “in my opinion”?

I like all of the things that have been added, but your post is just unreasonable.

So people aren’t allowed to state that they don’t like or are worried about something? If the fans hadn’t complained about it enough we’d still have armour lock and paper vehicles and stupid amounts of bloom on weapons. Negative feedback can be for the better and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However if said person is being unreasonable and demanding changes or crying without backing their points up, they aren’t credible and should just be ignored.

Never said people weren’t aloud to give an opinion? Learn to read a bit man. I was asking WHY complain? There is NO point especially since the game isn’t out.

Should I continue on proving your reply stupid? Oh, forgot. That was YOUR opinion on my post. -_-

Exactly.

And then there’s also nostalgia…and nostalgia is one helluva drug…

> Halo 3 was perfect… IMO.

The abusable ranking system, glitchy armor unlocks, and the AR deathcharge would like to have a word with you…

Oh dear…

A complaint is the voicing of a negative opinion. To deny someone the right to complain is to deny them the right to voicing their opinion. To complain about people complaining is to voice a negative opinion about someone’s negative opinion. See the irony here?

If you’re going to ask why complain, then surely a rebuttle could be “Why praise?”. It hasn’t come out yet so how can you tell it will be good?

People can also form loosely based opinions on what they’ve seen and/ or from past experiences e.g. they didn’t like active camo in Reach, they probably won’t like it in Halo 4. People might also not like the fact that you can spawn with a plasma pistol- because of past knowledge of plasma pistols, they know it might harm vehicle combat and can give good players a chance to spawn with a “Noob combo” despite the reduction of tracking. People might not like sprint just because of nostalgia purposes. Sprint wasn’t in before and they preffered it that way. That’s also fair enough, it’s their opinion.

Say you were going bungie jumping for the first time. You’re nervous yet excited. You might love it, you might hate it. Then just before you’re about to jump, they tell you “Instead of bungie cord being attached to a safety harness, we’re just going to give you this rope to hold on to instead”. You have every right to say “Hey guys, actually I don’t think this is a good idea”. It’s a stupid analogy I know but it works to some extent.

You’re second point however makes no sense. I’m defending someone’s rights to an opinion with my own opinions and that makes my post stupid?

Short, sweet, and to the point unlike your long, boring post.

First, Complaining about complainers is DIFFERENT then complaining about an unreleased game. So read my post again and don’t use “irony” to make yourself seem educated or too smart for me bro.

Secondly, complaining about things people didn’t like in Reach is understandable considering the game has been out for awhile now.

This was SPECIFICALLY made for complainers about Halo 4. Nothing more or less. You can leave this post now before you make yourself look stupid. Remember though, this is just “my opinion”

> To long to read so I really don’t care  Glad we had this talk. Btw, I asked you a question, that wasn’t an answer I got back.

Mature response I see. If you’d bothered to read it you would have had your answer.

Halo is the perfect game to me though. It looks great, plays great and keeps me playing until the next game comes out.

That’s all I can ask for really.
