Halo Is Losing to Final Fantasy In GS Poll

Hey guys, I want everyone on this forum, to come out and support Halo today. Gamespot is doing a Series of The Decade Poll, and its only round 1 and HALO IS LOSING! It is very close though (almost 50/50) and lets not let some overmilked franchise to take the crown over Halo. I ask of everyone here on the forums, to go to the link at the bottom of the page, sign into their gamespot account, vote for Halo (and any other games you want as well :), submit the vote…and wait. There isn’t much time left, only a few more hours, so lets get as many votes in as we can! Here’s to round 2 guys!

Honestly, I don’t think that Halo has a chance of beating Final Fantasy. I’ve been playing Halo diligently since Combat Evolved and haven’t played much Final Fantasy at all in my life, but I do know that it is much more widely enjoyed.

I don’t think that these two games should even be up against each other. They’re both amazing series, well, for the most part… But they are entirely different. One is a First Person Shooter with arena vibes whilst the second is a wildly diverse series of Role Playing Games.

That’s my 2¢, anyway.

An older, much-loved RPG franchise beating out a first-person shooter? Shocker.

Yeah, pretty much. I think the only true shock is that Halo is putting up as much of a fight as it is. The final numbers should be interesting to see.

Who cares about a gamespot poll? The people on that site are full of themselves to the point of not being able to be taken seriously.

In addition, half of their polls are rigged to begin with.

What isn’t rigged these days within the video game industry?

Feel free to discuss in this thread:

That was a tough one for Halo to get out of, Final Fantasy is a widely know gaming series. it was by far the closest set of round 1A and could possibly be one of the closest ones in the entire bracket. Lets also not forget that despite initial online numbers, Halo 3 had way more anticipation hype than Halo 4 did and that was 6 years ago.

And in other news, COD is only 60-40 over Fire Emblem despite another overly hyped game released last year.
