Not because of the “killstreaks” or “custom class 1-5” or any other game mechanics similar to cod.
I feel like its cod because some parts of the community abuses minor hiccups in the games balance and find annoying ways to tip the scales in their favor. Just such as in cod people would do cheap annoying things in the game with certain items that wouldnt necessarily be cheap, but the way other players use them break the game experience to me. Such as someone camping in the corner with a heartbeat sensor, or using a type 95, a gun meant for long range, and also hipfiring with it like a shotgun and it actually being viable due to the broken hipfire system in MW3. Some people in halo 4 are finding little ways to abuse minor problems in the game mechanics. I never remember it being so popular for someone to spam sticky grenades when someone had you beat, now people have it down to a science of how to always pull it off to get a perfect kill trade when your losing. As well as people who corner camp with a boltshot the whole round, even people who spam the DMR. When i say that about the DMR im asking all of you mindless people who dont see anything wrong with it to open your eyes and actually try to understand someone elses point of view, the game is supposed to have a system of balance within the weapon sandbox, right now the DMR is the supreme gun at all ranges making most others useless.
Im not trying to say that all of these things are broken in the game, but one reason i enjoyed previous halos was because there wasnt an extremely easy way for others to abuse stupid little things within the game, sure there is always going to be people who use cheap tactics and annoying play but i feel like its much more rampant in this halo than any others.
IMO the metagame in halo 4 is suffering, i feel like some more of the core fans who really enjoyed a similar aspect like i did are being replaced by more casual people who find annoying little ways to try and level the playing field against more veteran players who have been here awhile.
I want constructive criticism in this thread, please dont post thoughtless insults or anything of the sort.
